My Drac-O-Lantern enamel pin is ready just in time for GenCon! A glittery red dragon igniting a jack-o-lantern, for all the folks who have been asking me if I’d ever do one of my pumpkins with a dragon. www.joannabarnum.com/shop/drac-o-...

In 2028, Baby Yoda and Baby Greedo will be joined by Baby Max Reebo, Baby Salacious Crumb, and Baby Chewie in “Star Wars Babies,” engaging in lovable hijinks while watched over by a beleaguered protocol droid with striped legs seen only from the knees down.

Cawthorn Library Attacks! Or, what I feel like when the deadlines start coming at me too fast. One more done for @hitpointpress.bsky.social, Big Bads: Most Wanted, AD: Brian Walters I painted the illustration traditionally in watercolor and the original is available: www.joannabarnum.com/shop
“Ghost Librarian” and “Thirst for Knowledge” for Hit Point Press. If you think you see a bit of an 80s pop culture homage here, yes you do 😉 The originals are watercolor on paper and are available: www.joannabarnum.com/shop
I don’t do a lot of dragons, but over the years I’ve gotten a lot of requests for one of my jack-o-lanterns with a dragon so I’m finally giving it a shot! When I’m done, this will be a watercolor in an oval frame, and probably a pin design.
"Reading Ravens" illustration for Big Bads: Most Wanted from @hitpointpress.bsky.social AD: Brian Walters I have limited edition prints of this piece now available! Along with some other prints and originals from the project. www.joannabarnum.com/shop
Frontispiece illustration for the upcoming Hatteras Path Editions rebind of A Child Alone With Strangers by Philip Fracassi @pfracassi.bsky.social
Drac-o-Lantern doodles. Which one should I develop? As both a more detailed painting, and a pin design.
I’ve been working on “The Lovers” when in the flat here in Cornwall. I think it’s done, but I’ll give it another look over when I get home. I planned this composition to maybe crop the painting into a large oval frame, but not so sure I want to now. Ravens, Glastonbury abbey, and may blossoms.
Plein air watercolor of the Cot Valley and Porth Nanven. The turquoise water near the shore at this spot is magical. It appears and disappears depending on how the sun shifts.
Painted plein air at the Nine Maidens stone circle in Boskednan (Cornwall, England)
Painted the Tregeseal Barrow and English bluebells from life today.
Large indoor project I’m working on here in Cornwall- ravens, Glastonbury Abbey, and May blossoms.
A venerable cherry tree in the St Just Parish Church graveyard (a different spot from yesterday). It’s a wide panorama format- not sure how that will preview here. Click to enbiggen. Original is about 4” x 10”
Painting at the Miners’ Chapel in St Just, Cornwall. I’m living and working here for a month!
