LOVED the silent disco in Canberra last night. Think dancing alone in your lounge room where no one can see your daggy moves, except it’s the National Gallery and there’s several hundred people doing the same thing! Awesome cardio and a nice serotonin hit for the brain. ❤️🕺🥳 10/10
Norway’s goal scorer after putting Norway in front. Love the restraint.
Thumbs up to published work. A terrible pic of me at 5am after a beamtime at DESY where we did this work!
The wonderful cleaner at Physics left this box of lemons today. I’ve known her since my now huge ‘kids’ were babies. I love this about the place - ppl stay! #ANUDailyJoy
Found just these four cards on the podium of the ANU Physics auditorium. So now I am literally holding all the aces- must be a good day right! #ANUDailyJoy
Puffins were mythical to me as a kid (any Puffin Club members out there - if you know you know) but I’ve never seen one in real life. This morning a Prof fm ANU Physics sent me these pics from his hike overseas. Gorgeous flying clown-teddies. ❤️ ❤️ Naturally I chose my outfit accordingly #ANUDailyJoy
Want to know a thing? These are THE best muffins on the ANU campus (possibly the best in Canberra?) 🧁 Freshly baked on site every day at Vanilla Bean Café. The cinnamon apple is my favourite, but the blueberry is great too. #ANUDailyJoy
The boys hanging out at ANU yesterday morning made me look and then smile. 🤴🦜 #ANUDailyJoy
Thanks to SBS for doing an amazing job streaming this game - great turnout at @physicsanu.bsky.social Go Socceroos!
This made me happy today - I saw some yellow-tail black cockatoos when arriving at work this morning (although is clearly a new low in terms of 'crappy pics of birds I took with my phone' 🫣)! #ANUDailyJoy
My cup makes me smile - it’s from an original diner in Oak Ridge TN - built during the Manhattan Project era. Menu items refer to different areas of Oak Ridge National Lab where I have been lucky enough visit to do neutron scattering experiments several times. I do ❤️ my job! #ANUDailyJoy
A terrible photo of one of my fav birds on campus - the white-winged chough. Was in a group of about 5-6 - as usual creating a mess of the paths looking for bugs. #ANUDailyJoy
More #ANUDailyJoy - sure ANU did a bit better in the rankings but the fact they used a humble supermarket mud cake for this video made me SMILE!!
Weirdly I love how complicated the bins are in Kambri. Feels legit like we are trying. 💚 #ANUDailyJoy
Hiding with a coffee in one of the cool study spaces. #PaperEditting #Physics #ANUDailyJoy
New admin staff member joining us tomorrow at Physics ANU - so great excuse to try my new oven! (Old one died) #ANUDailyJoy
Snapped this leaving physics ANU Tuesday night. Venus and Jupiter. #ANUDailyJoy
The lavender was replanted today! And the sun was shining #ANUDailyJoy #HappyFriday
Box jumps against a brittle material did not seem sustainable… and indeed it was not. RIP mirror. (Was not me!)
One of the women’s bathroom at Physics ANU - somedays we all need this. ❤️❤️❤️
