Night one of BRIGHT STAR is in the books. I’m still pretty sick (masked up), so I didn’t take my usual pit setup photo. But I had arranged it at home to work out some instrument changes and foot pedal placement, so here you go.

Musical instruments set up in formation for the pit orchestra: on a triple stand are an acoustic guitar, mandolin, and octave mandolin. A non pedal steel guitar is on the other side of the player’s chair. A music stand is in front, and a page turner pedal and small pedalboard with amp modeler and expression pedal are on the floor.

Something like 33 years ago, I had an idea for a cover song. It was before I had the means to realize it. I let it go for decades, but recently picked up the idea, and now I am very close to inflicting it on the world! Here's a preview (artwork still a WIP):
