Here's the source of this shader if anyone happens to have any advice!
This is the closest to the sort of water I've got to so far. Still not there yet - I'd rather the lines be flat rather than gradients but replacing smoothstep with step just results in a load of circles. Would also ideally like the cells to not have straight edges but that's proving hard
I have to say I'm not entirely sure what I've done here but I like it
Had a lovely time in Brighton with amazing people and now I’m going home. My heart and belly are very full. I love game developers
This was a little tricky but I'm quite pleased with it!
This is in Growl but the various variables available to the shader are basically the same as in ShaderToy. I think the next thing I ought to look at is playing with a noise texture
Gonna bring back my old "joel tries to learn shaders" thread from the other place cos I am, once again, trying to learn shaders. My end goal is to have some kind of 2d approximation of a nice water shader, think the ocean in Wind Waker or something. Feedback/advice *very* welcome
Made banana bread last week and today in the oven discovered…this. I guess it’s overflowed banana bread. Consistency kind of like gingerbread. Should I try it? (Obviously I already did. It’s pretty good tbh)
This old girl gave us a big scare last week. Fully lost bladder control on Thursday, spent all of Friday at the vet’s. We feared the worst. Got her blood and urine results back yesterday and…she’s fine. Back to normal. No idea what happened. Drama queen.
Rolled credits (the second time) on Island Off Outer Darkness. What a wonderfully singular game it is. Clunky, obtuse, intensely autobiographical in a way that borders on uncomfortable. Some of the best character writing in games period. Fuck you too, Clav
Saw this jacket in a shop in Lisbon and it instantly reminded me of the Side Story podcast art (album art? key art? what dyou even call that)
“AI is good for placeholders” in Dave’s Word Game we use a picture of Dave’s face to remind Dave to do the art Yes he’s a real person, you don’t know me
We’re doing science over on the Bearwaves Discord, why not join us? discord.gg/Bearwaves
I have it on disc FWIW. But yeah it’s hardly a mass appeal title. Shame, it’s ace (and the production value is sky high which I suspect contributes)
Just debugged and fixed a C++ issue from my Windows install
