Thrilled to learn that two big projects from Ghostfire that I helped produce are nominated for Ennies this year -- Monsters of Drakkenheim and Grim Hollow Campaign Guide! It's always great to see the hard work of our project teams be recognized! ennie-awards.com/2026-nominees/
One of the exciting projects we've been busy with at Ghostfire Gaming was just announced by Wizards of the Coast! We were incredibly lucky to work with the White Wolf team to bring a little piece of their World of Darkness to D&D Beyond in July '26! www.dndbeyond.com/posts/2195-q...
Ken Dryden was one of the few sports figures who resonated with me growing up. He excelled as a sportsman and an intellectual. Great respect for the man on his passing.
Of course, we're again incredibly lucky to have a team of talented artists creating magical art to grace the book, overseen by our talented Art Director @mariusbota.bsky.social
Very proud of the hard work our team is doing to bring this to life. Led by the masterful @beholderpie.bsky.social, we've gathered a remarkable group of designers to craft the adventure, including Andy Collins, @jamesjhaeck.bsky.social, @shawnmerwin.bsky.social, and @nirele.bsky.social
Didn’t think it was possible, but we spayed the Great Beast! Plenty of rations for tonight’s dinner
The girls taking my mom for her first ride in a kayak! 84 l looks pretty good!
I’m enjoying a much needed day off for Canada Day. The @ghostfiregaming.bsky.social team’s been busy finishing several BIG projects but this week I got to kickoff the writing for a wondrous new adventure. Still amazed I get to work with such amazing creators. Stay tuned for cool announcements soon!
As I've been buried with work on several big projects, it's been a while since I posted about the AD&D comic from TSR/DC. We're now up to issue 9 (Aug'89), and the start of a new 4-issue story arc. I've also included an ad from that issue for the Forgotten Realms comic released around the same time.
Amazed to realize that I just submitted a series of Grim Hollow events for GameHoleCon. We'll be running season 1 of the Grim Hunt, Ghostfire's new organized play campaign that we'll be premiering at GenCon this year. Expect to hear more about the program in the coming months.
We're now up to issue 8 as I revisit the TSR/DC Advanced Dungeons & Dragons comic. This is from July '89 and it ends the Spirit of Myrrth storyline. As ever, there's some fun lore from @jeffgrubb.bsky.social in the Gaming Notes at the back of the comic.
We're up to Issue 7 from June'89 of the AD&D Comic from TSR/DC, part 3 of 4 for "The Spirit of Myrrth" storyline. All our heroes have to do is stop a gargantuan skeletal jester! Included is the notes page by @jeffgrubb.bsky.social detailing the skeletal colossus using the "new" 2E monster format.
How about a page advertising what TSR was releasing in for the Forgotten Realms and Dragonlance 1989.
We're up to issue 5 of revisit of the late '80's AD&D comic from TSR and DC.
Part of an epic Shadowdark game with 9 players plus GM at WinterFantasy as the dwarves attempt to reclaim Moria!
Also on the docket at Winter Fantasy is "Raid the Blood-Drenched Shores," a Grim Hollow Epic that we premiered at GenCon last year. It was written by the prolific @skerrit7h3green.bsky.social.
Though personally, I've had a rough start to the year, my work with Ghostfire continues to be awesome. We got amazing stuff in the works! Premiering next week at Winter Fantasy is a new 4-hour Grim Hollow adventure, "The Deathly Rift" by the brilliant Andy Dempz! Hope you get a chance to play it!
This issue finishes the opening 4 part story arc, seeing the heroes recover a magic gem, Selune's Eye. It's also neat to see an advertisement of the 2E edition of the game, with the PHB releasing around the time of this comic.
