Mainly here for the dogs and cats. Scottish, Yorkshireish, Lancashireish. It costs nowt to be kind.
Cloudy and much cooler today, beach wander from Whitby to Saltwick Bay and back along the coastal path. Walking on thick seaweed and finding unexpected depths = very wet feet 😂
After a dull start it turned into a perfect walking day today - pleasant, slight breeze, sunny but not too sunny. Over 14 miles in total so there will be jam doughnuts tonight 😁
And for those of us NOT watching that thing with the ball, here’s a nice view at the back of where we’re staying for a week
@skyfeed.xyz been getting this message frequently for the last couple of days - Only Posts?
🎶I like big butts and I cannot lie🎶 Pretty sure these boys are half hippo.
Not a miniature but one of my ‘grew up with’ dogs was a Yorkie. (Scruffy lump, no teeth, mahoosive character). He was an absolute joy to have around. DO IT!
I’m very much enjoying ChatGPT’s answer to my description of the mixed emotions involved in your scenario - especially the last line 👏👏
Dreich today so not many walk pics (Runswick Bay to Whitby). If you look VERY closely at the last photo you might just make out a hare belting off into the distance (we saw two, they were beautiful). And I didn’t manage to get a pic of the sweet little bright-eyed vole that I almost trod on 😱 x
Any road up, here’s some sandmartins (I think) being very busy. Sorry about the wobbly footage.
We don't usually see each others headers. Here's mine. Quote post with yours.
Nice little parallel on my feed. It’s the little things, innit? Credit: @johnmuir.bsky.social @mrsnodes.bsky.social
Also found these, my Nanan was catholic before she married my Grandad. The medallion refers to Our Lady of Knock in Ireland - possibly given to her by her mother; that side of the family was Irish. This is where only having a vague oral history lets us down ☹️.
This was found in the ‘tin box’* I remember it but don’t remember wearing it. Nearly 60 years of tarnish removed with a solution of bicarbonate of soda, white vinegar, salt and hot water. *biscuit tin when I was a kid.
Pretty pink peony. We planted it in lockdown, and each year it gets bigger and develops more flowers. The bees love it.
Found on Dad’s key ring, the tags from his last two dogs - the ones I grew up with 🥰. The tags are mine now. Never forgotten.
Love this meadow. *holds phone under your chin to see if you like butter*
Forgot to post this from our walk along the coast the other day. I mean 😳😳
“You come near me and I’ll ‘ave you” (Yes I know the patio needs sweeping. We were away and I don’t have a house elf.)
After a few days of mixed weather it was glorious again yesterday (though cold): Staithes to Saltburn. We’ve not done the Staithes to Runswick stretch before but will definitely do it again. Bonus coos in t’field 😁
