Post 374 (incl posts on X) both cryospheres improved a bit. Antarctic gained 468,000km, kept at 4th: 16,049,000 and kept at 1 million km below av. Arctic lost 436,000km, up to 6th: 6,510,000 km and up to 1.7 million km below av. Arctic sea ice volume still relatively very bad, 3rd after 24 & 25.

Yesterdays data on Arctic Sea Ice Extent. The spring melt is starting at the worst (smallest) area since 1979. This year is going to break records in all the wrong way. Early melt reduces the parasol effect, creating a warming feedback: more dark ocean to absorb heat, melting more ice, less cover.
