Militant liberal. Aspiring re-education camp counselor. Filibuster abolition enjoyer. Look down the political game tree. What's at the end of all those off-equilibrium paths?
People are saying that Lindsey Graham died of a heart attack, but this is not true. The truth is that he performed the Blood Ritual necessary to grant his Master the gift of another couple years.
What an incredible age distribution. TV news is really fucked huh
People say this and it's fun to think about, but I suspect the British electorate ends up with these guys because they like them
This conversation reminds me of this exchange. (Unlike Sunstein, Tol *is* an economist, for anyone keeping score at home. He's also apparently a moron.)
Presidential approval has traditionally been required because Congress has chosen to require it. But it's not strictly required. Congress can do whatever it wants here. constitutioncenter.org/blog/the-las...
Don't necessarily agree with the PTSD part, in that it's a broader phenomenon. The military has a culture, which you could call toxically masculine. This is especially true of the Marines. Not everyone succumbs to it, but many do. Most importantly, the culture is separable from personal politics.
Screenshotting this because I'm not interested in inviting the mob into this guy's replies, but yeah, this is correct. (This is about Platner.)
The things Platner has said and done fit right in with a guy who is super sold on a "traditional" (read, toxic) form of masculinity. Most of it is bullshit that you shouldn't take too seriously.
This is some incredible exculpatory tense on display here. You wouldn't guess from this article that Chud the Builder was the guy doing the shooting
Idk guys, maybe we should listen to the wisdom of our elders on this one. I mean it's pretty much accepted these days that the radical Republicans were right and everyone should have listened to them. So let's listen to them!
Even Gemini's most light weight model (that you don't access through search) gets this "right" -- at least if you consider an answer that does not acknowledge that the question is nonsensical right
Questions involving spelling are notoriously difficult for AI to answer because AI never sees actual letters, just tokens. But even Claude's worst model gets this one correct
"In my heterosexual opinion, Katie Miller is way more attractive. I know whose pussy I'd rather grab. I bet Katie Miller's breasts feel great, like bags of sand."
The bottom of a remote control should be flat. That way it can lay stable on a surface.
Okay, but right-angle crashes are vastly more deadly than rear-end crashes. I also think this would probably stop being true if they were more common.
Like imagine looking at this graph in 1955 and not coming to the complete opposite conclusion. Turns out the solution was "do absolutely nothing, it'll fix itself".
Tfw soft power and diplomacy are actually more powerful than lethality and war crimes
Add this one to the annals of "unions are not an unalloyed good"
No hate to this guy but I've never understood why this is such a struggle. I've gotten an intuitive sense for Celsius just from having a foreign wife, forget living in a country that uses it.
Minor quibble: Access Hollywood was after his nomination
Peter Baker @peterbakernyt.bsky.social doesn't think there's anything worth running down on this one I guess. Or maybe it's his editor. Either way, no drumbeat coverage. Wonder why!
