that's not unusual with NDE's; same if you had never regained your enthusiasm had a boulder roll over my leg (wife's size 8 Nike atop for scale); suffered a crush injury that required no surgery, but took 2 yrs to fully recover rolling over my head or chest would've been fatal; luck/random chance

when people have biased reactions to a movie (or other works of art), the actual *quality* of the movie doesn't matter; they hate it without even experiencing it at all, solely b/c it runs counter to how they think the world *should* be IOW, it's not about the movie, it's about the people also:
