The clip that shows a 1-200 meter long cargo vessel on the open sea? That would be a mighty powerful throw. It looks quite a bit like a drone though, can't imagine those flying near cargo ships though, right?
That sounds unlikely, unless you stretch the concept of "near", but I'd be delighted to be proven wrong.

Huh. This is the rare occurence of a diagram that's deceptive in the opposite direction. It looks like there has been at least a base amount of traffic the whole time, but the bottom part of the colored area is actually below 0.

That one will never sail again. The fire has been burning uncontrollably for so long that the superstructure could no longer support the weight of the radar "mast". I suppose there might be some salvagable parts in the fore and rear, but the center section of the ship is completely gutted.

I get that it's just an AI illustration, but it seems many people don't realize quite how large the Strait of Hormuz is. It's about 50km wide, ships will have to travel something like 200km to get through it, and the Iranian coastline is about 400km long.

Tankers are essentially a long line of connected but individually enclosed spaces though, they are not easy to sink.
