Started reading this. It always amuses me how in comics - and B movies - of this era it's often just taken as a given that some or all of the other planets in the solar system are inhabited. Even when there's been no contact, it's just kind of a known thing that there's life on Mars.

I remember hearing a report about AIDS a few years after this and initially thinking that it had something to do with this and being concerned because my mom used to buy it.
Random memory: When I was little, my sister introduced me to some kind of weed that grew in our yard that she called "sauerkraut" because it's little leaves tasted sour. Sour like a green apple, and I used to eat it by the handful. Anyone know what it was? Looked like this (as far as I can recall):
