Not bad for a "camera slider" being...an IKEA table with the camera sitting on another piece of wood...being manually pushed across the table 😁 On editing side, I used Resolve's "Optical Flow" retiming and "Enhanced Better" motion estimation, as well as "similarity" mode stabilization #JollaPhone
Various songs for the "TOHs" (The Other Half) of the Jolla Phone 2: Snow White, Inari Blue, Kaamos Black, Orange.
President & CEO of Commodore International joined to talk about Sailfish OS on the Callback!
It seems very much in the spirit of the Sailfish OS community that someone would take apart their Jolla Phone 2 live on the terrace of the venue. Successful teardown and rebuilt, fortunately for them!
Some folks like @setok.bsky.social just couldn't wait to switch SIMs to their Jolla Phone 2.
Saw myself on the big screen in the center. Apparently I was also in the airport, around Helsinki, and videos pre-installed on the J2.
Huge queue of hundreds of attendees that wrapped around the square for the Jolla Phone 2 Launch Day event.
Life hard at work in the early summer, enjoying all the warmth and long sunlight hours ☀️ #photography #nature #flowers Shot on Canon R50 with Helios 44-3.
Test shots with the Helios 44 at f/2 (snails) and f/2.8 (dandelion and tree). Absolutely love the bokeh and swirl! I mean, that is half the reason why I and everyone else gets the lens after all...
I wish more buildings looked as quirky and colorful as those near Pikku Huopalahti Park. #photography #finland Test shots on my #Canon R50 with a Helios 44-3 lens.
I had the opportunity to meet up with #Jolla again to talk about (and see!) how the new Jolla Phone is progressing, including new iteration that is using tooling and not hand-made. Write-up at forum.sailfishos.org/t/first-impr... and a couple more photos if you're interested! #SailfishOS
After 8 iterations and a bunch of shim prints, finally have my Ender 3 V3 SE bed almost perfectly level. Still have a glass bed on the way, which should fix the center being lower, but the deviation is just slightly higher than my typical layer size (0.12mm) so very happy with these results.
Just posted my first impressions of the CNC sample of the new Jolla Phone (2026) that I was able to get my hands on yesterday. It's in written form on the Sailfish forums if you'd like to check it out! forum.sailfishos.org...
What a work competition does to someone. Starts today, figured I'd condition a bit beforehand. Aiming for 30k steps (might hit it today once I give my feet some rest), then I gotta start hitting the gym since there is only so fast one can go on a walking pad in an apartment!
My Ferris plushie from ferris.rs arrive today 🦀 It is already trying to convert my Gopher! High quality, reasonably sized and priced, and came with some stickers. What more does one need? #RustLang
Budgie 10.10.1, Budgie Control Center 2.1.0, Budgie Desktop View 10.10.1 now in #Fedora rawhide. Default introduction panel in Fedora will promote Bluejay (developed by @emaddock.bsky.social) for bluetooth management.
Got a refurbished ThinkCenter M920t (i7-9700 and a tiny GT730). Figured I'd throw my Intel ARC GPU in it and use it as a dedicated streaming PC (stream Budgie 11 dev). TIL about 10-pin Lenovo ATX connector (oof), bought a 24pin adapter and waiting for that. Dual PSUs in meantime.
Been going through the Mir docs, building out the next iteration of the @buddiesofbudgie.bsky.social Magpie compositor. Just in a matter of a few hours we went from no compositor to one that is able to run budgie-panel. Looking forward to continuing to iterate on it! #Linux #OpenSource
Small beginnings: #Budgie 11 panel in Qt6 and QML, leveraging LayerShellQt. The code will looking nothing like this probably in a matter of days, but fun to iterate nonetheless!
First pics of actual J2 hardware released by #Jolla on their forums, it looks really slick! Looking forward to it! forum.sailfishos.org/t/jolla-phon... #SailfishOS
Took some work and testing, but I have CI/CD validated using the forge that all the @buddiesofbudgie.bsky.social Budgie 11 bits will be on (as well as something else I'm cookin up) 🚀
Bundle of new and updated packages just landed into Fedora 44 rawhide in prep for rest of #Budgie 10.10-preview.1 related updates (budgie-desktop, budgie-session, budgie-desktop-defaults, comps updating). Just waiting on approval for Change Proposal to cook up all the rest! ❤️
Battlefield 6 time here we goooo. Queue going down quick too, down 150k from when I took the screenshot.
Ah yes, I 100% remember this song from the 90s that came out in... _checks notes_ 2016. Thanks YouTube Music /s
Doing an app release at work and got a new warning from Google about a "significant drop" in supported devices. Google and I have very different opinions on what "significant" means. The ONE device? An x86 Android 8.0 Automotive emulator from 2017, which targets the Intel Atom Z8000 from 2015 🤦♂️
Never had the original #Pebble, but really excited for the Pebble Time 2. Will certainly wait to see if anyone in the #SailfishOS community adds it to Amazfish (I would if time permitted) before I pick one up, but great to see a revival of a classic. www.youtube.com/watch?v=pcPz...
