AuDHD who'd have thought! Wokely left. If we spent as much on people as we do war the world would be a better place. Don't follow me or DM me if you want money, I haven't got any!
Fabulous day with my nephew and his gf. The combine harvester was by far the best albeit the slowest, he certainly could have walked it faster bless him. Hats off to all the entrants and organisers. Bit hot though and called it early back to mine for a cool down and putting the world to rights.
When we had badgers they co-existed, some vocal warnings but never saw any real aggression.
Twitching to get on with the painting, might have to go tackle a door frame and hope it's not too hot. Managed to get some of the ex plate rack de waxed earlier. Got to decide what to do with the missing tongue and groove bit in the middle next.
Phew! First coat on 2 walls looks grey in pic but it's a grey/sage green. That said really hard picking a colour in my kitchen as it's north/south windows so colour changes massively. Not helped by my extremely picky colour radar, white isn't white. Used as much body water as a data centre mind you!
Ours would share fox food too. Sadly the badgers vanished a couple of years ago. I so miss seeing them. Still have foxes though.
Bloody stopped now! Looking at my rain monitor though might be more to come. Looking more promising your way. Your book just arrived 😁
Indi wasn't impressed when I told her she had to wait for me to activate my legs after I woke up from a snooze after she got excited I was still alive and expecting a walk. She's gone off in a huff now.
That's good to know, I'm on clay too and gravel/rubble so hard to plant anything. It was devoid of plants when I moved in but gone from that to this now. (might have posted twice, you are right BS is clunky)
I used a spare sun sail worked a treat today. I have a pergola over the front, sides not usually a problem as hottest times have been in August since I moved here, sun is lower and sets earlier.
Tell her this is how it's done and the gremlin doesn't even have a fur coat buffer. 😂
Fete went well, like last year we sold all the lucky dip boxes in the first hour and a half raising £160 for the primary school. Best bit was seeing how chuffed the kids were when they got one of my makes. Croc went down exceptionally well. 😊
Here's a Trumptater for you. Carved it while waiting for the potatoes to cook during his first term. Ear was a bit big but dinner was ready 😂
Foxlings enjoying their chicken and dog food. Lucky to have them come every evening.
Meanwhile 3 years later still trying to get kitchen finished at oap snails pace, carpenter seems to have vanished again. 😭
Yes my son has a water tank. Getting rid of the gas tank was a huge bonus, people moan about how heat pumps look but a lot better than this outside my conservatory. The HP is neatly tucked under the kitchen window.
We missed it yesterday, skirted right round us, probably miss it again tonight. It is going some in some areas again for sure.
I rarely go out but had to go see the Rose and Castle Morris dancers at the village pub, love to see them. Thankfully not as warm this evening for them.
33 degrees outside and poor Indi is really struggling inside now and it really worries me having lost Twiglet to heart failure in a heatwave some years ago. Wet tea towel hasn't gone down well but at least she's found the cool mat under the ceiling fan.
2 new cats devastated the bird population at my old house, they would lay in wait for birds and worse were the fledglings they picked out of the nests in the hedges. I was forever rescuing screaming frogs from them too. Absolute menaces. Thankfully no cats in my garden here so fledglings are safe.
My almost bonsai, must be about 50 years old now,my mum planted it then my sis had it and then me. Gotta love a weeble, although never did have one.
She loved it 🤣 No one ran screaming from the cafe and now I've got to make one for the lady at the till when we paid for our 'we really shouldn't have plants'. 😁 This is also why she is my only friend. 🤣
My friend always sends me crazy Insta craft things, sent me a pic of a crazy crochet desiccated mouse so of course had to find the pattern and make her one for her 67th Birthday. Will give it to her tomorrow for our joint B'day lunch. Hope no one else notices 🤣
Finished pastel at last but it was hard going as photo wasn't great and couldn't focus with so much to do on the kitchen, 2 weeks fighting birds off nesting under solar panels until mesh put up and 2 weeks feeling a bit rough with ear problems. Won't do anymore until kitchen done, learnt my lesson!
Getting paid to use more electricity again today so tried out a cheese flapjack recipe. Bloomin yummy! Had to try 2 pieces to be sure. 😁
