I swear, I did nothing at all to get this color. It’s a very old hydrangea that came with the house. 🌱 #FlowerReport #bloomscrolling
Anybody else getting these vibes from Taylor and Travis’s MSG nuptials?
Hey, remember how Buster Posey was Heated Rivalry before there was Heated Rivalry? Good times. What a disappointment you turned out to be, Gerald.
We don’t usually see each other’s headers. Here’s mine. Quote-skeet with yours (if you feel like it)
Good news! The New Main Street Singers WILL perform at Freedom 250!
Here in the museum of obsolete technology, I rediscovered this 3 inch mini CD that I must have gotten as a record company promo from the Springsteen Tunnel of Love tour in 1988. It still plays, though it works without the adapter on my knockoff Discman CD player. Physical media rules, kids!
The clusters of flowers on this huge rhododendron tree are as big as dinner plates. Seen at the Ballard Locks today. 🌱
Just got back from Portland where I spent yesterday seeing the two Davids, Hockney and Byrne. Srsly, if you’re in town, the Hockney exhibit at PAM is fab, and if you are seeing Byrne down the road, lucky you.
Shoutout to these queens who hoisted the colors in Portland. Too bad that dude’s big head was in the way.
I’ve been to a lot of Bruce shows but I’ve never been to one quite like the one I saw last night in Portland. Incandescent with rage and purpose. Springsteen & every member of the band are meeting the moment. #Springsteen
Can attest. My “Just croak already”was relatively mild compared to many in my gray-haired lady cohort.
Everybody is outside today in the Seattle sunshine. Took a walk at the Locks, where the cherry trees are at peak bloom. 🌱#FlowerReport
Great blue heron nesting season at the Locks. We were watching the rookery through binoculars on the opposite side of the Locks when this guy flew over and perched in the tree above us.
The witch hazels are in bloom at the UW Arboretum. Saw a couple of cherries starting to bloom as well in this too-warm and dry Seattle winter. 🌱
Excited about my best cheapo used album find ever. It’s Turkey Lurkey Time all the time from now on in my house.
Just finished my annual December viewing of “The Shop Around the Corner” (1940) and I immediately want to watch it again.
Happy 100th Birthday to Dick Van Dyke. As a young child in a house of discord, I learned what a good marriage looked like from watching Rob and Laura Petrie. From the DVD Show (which I rewatch to this day), Bye Bye Birdie and Mary Poppins, little me believed that he was the ideal man. Still do.
My favorite photo from Seattle Center No Kings. We got there early. This person looked so brave standing there alone holding up the trans flag. As more folks came in, many took photos with them or posed in front of the flag - all kinds of people, oldsters, fam with young kids. It was beautiful.
