Fantastic turnout in Lakeview today for Coffee With The Councilmember! ☕️ We got lots of questions about Sewerage & Water Board and Code Enforcement, but one thing was very clear: residents believe the city is moving in the right direction.
For those of you who don’t want to Meta or who prefer graphics to video, here’s the info for tomorrow!

Happy Father’s Day, New Orleans! Being a dad has been the greatest adventure of my life. Some days I’m teaching my kids how to play video games, and other days they’re teaching me patience. The days can be messy, loud, and unforgettable all at once, and I’m grateful for every second of it.
Celebrating Juneteenth — Freedom Day. Today, we honor the enduring spirit, achievements, and contributions of Black people throughout our nation's history. The trailblazers and pioneers of our community upon whose shoulders we all stand.
SANDBAG DISTRIBUTION 🌧️ PLEASE SHARE! Ahead of extreme weather this week, @nolacitycouncil will be distributing sandbags to help residents protect their homes. Distribution starts at 9:30 AM until supplies last!
Fiona, Alex and I checked out Day 1 of the 2026 Pokémon North American International Championship! ⚡️ If you are a Pokémon nerd like we are, you have to head over to the Convention Center this weekend.
Happy #PrideMonth, New Orleans! 🏳️🌈🏳️⚧️ Despite renewed attacks across the country, the LGBTQ+ community continues to be a bright light for the culture, especially in New Orleans. I'm proud that New Orleans is a safe haven for queer people, thanks to many years of advocacy from the community itself.
Applications are open for the Cox Communications Community Grant Program & the Caesars Casino Community Support Grant Program 📣 These funding opportunities are available to local nonprofit organizations and community initiatives working to create meaningful change across New Orleans.

New Orleans Day is back at the State Capitol and better than ever! 💥 After many years of New Orleans Day falling to the wayside, the Moreno Administration has brought the festivities back to #lalege! This is just another example of the renewed regional partnerships that the City of New Orleans …
Today, @nolacitycouncil hosted GLOW, an organization that provides comprehensive wellness support to young adults, as a stop on their HBCU tour across the state. Our students toured City Hall and gained insight into careers in public service.
Happy Easter, New Orleans! Whether you're out at the second line, the parades, or spending time with loved ones, have a great Easter Sunday!
Holy Thursday at Dooky Chase is a delicious New Orleans Tradition! The Gumbo Z’herbes is amazing (No pic 😅 I ate it too fast!). Also had the pleasure of dining on the historic second floor where #civilrights history was made! What a great way to start Easter Weekend!
Sometimes it’s nice to remember that around the world, there are generational touchstones that overcome language & cultural barriers. Watching Dragonball (Z/GT/Super) & waiting to see the end of a fight over 10 episodes is 1 such touchstone. (If you don’t know about Goku, you better ask somebody.)
Reading is FUNDAMENTAL!📚 Thank you to the Pre-K students at Wilcox Academy at SUNO for inviting me to read “Brown Sugar Baby” for #LiteracyMonth! It’s been a while since my own kids were this little, and I really enjoyed spending time with the class!
It's Festival Season, and Jazz Fest is 30 days away! 🎷 Outside of Mardi Gras, Jazz Fest is arguably the biggest annual event in New Orleans. Not only is Jazz Fest a huge economic driver for the city, but the N.O. Jazz & Heritage Foundation supports numerous free events year-round in New Orleans.
Here is some amazing other artwork for you to check out! @neworleansmuseumofart
Today’s the last day of #ArtInBloom at @neworleansmuseumofart 🎨 Beyond the fact that this is an annual amazing event in @neworleanscitypark, it’s the debut of Fiona’s first artwork from @nocca.nola as a Level 1 visual arts student! We are so proud of her!
