They're gonna remake RE1 I'm so sorry They're gonna remake RE1 in their new engine and it's gonna be hella fun I'm so so sorry This is not the final RE 1 Remake
Me after finishing Chapter 5: That was great! I sure love Flowery!! The rest of the fandom: THIS GUY IS NUTS!!! THIS GUY IS A PIECE OF SHIT!! THIS GUY!! FUCK THIS GUY!! HE'S GONNA KILL HALF THE CAST IN THE NEXT CHAPTER!! MARKMYFUCKIN'WORDS~
Would you wanna see A Link to the Past get a 3D remake that... Looks like Link's Awakening?? or Looks like Twilight Princess??
Remember how this guy's real name is Lawliet Lawford... LAWliet LAWlord!?!? How did I forget that???
Am I gonna go to prison for saying it's better to emulate every Kingdom Hearts game, then to pay FIFTY FUCKING DOLLARS for a collection pack?
Did you know you can play EVERY major Playstation classic on emulators, from Playstation 1 to Playstation 3. PS4 emulation has some growing pains, but most of the popular titles have PC ports anyways... and you can pirate those too...
It's times like this, I wanna remind everybody that emulation is extremely easy now. Did you know you can play EVER Nintendo game from 1983 to 2010ish (NES to Wii), for free! I'm about halfway done with Link to the Past. A game I've never fully beat, and it feels great to appreciate a classic!
Checking the Steam store page, I can see Assassin's Creed Black Flag got a remake... cool. Also Palworld is out in version 1.0... fantastic. Backyard Baseball got a 3D remake that looks like a mobile game and is $40-- WHAT AM I MISSING HERE??
There's a multitude of fascinating indie games, way more worth my time! Indie has never looked better, these days, with Deltarune pulling out a new banger chapter, boomer shooters offering a variety of subtle takes on the formula, AND less we forget the rise in 3D platformers!
Why should I care about the AAA games industry? The last AAA that I felt was really bold and outlandish was Silent Hill f, but seems most people never even finished that game. Are video games art or are they mere distractions?
I keep seeing this commentary of "The Games Industry is Collapsing" and... not to sounds uncaring, but if AAA gaming suddenly stopped tomorrow and all we had was Indie Games made on smaller budgets and self published on Steam or Itch.io I wouldn't care at all.
I was an edgy, emo teen when this shit came out, and even I was like "UUUUGGHH..."
I think I'd enjoy Spy Family more, if it weren't for one enormous distraction!! Why tf does the lil girl read minds??
BF is trying to replay Deltarune Ch 3-4, so he's in the right head space for Ch 5 He's spent the last 24 hours nonspot gaming and I'm so proud of him!
To wrap this up!! What makes this show special is its characters. The greater narrative can be predictable at times, but effective because you just loves these guys too much to quit. GLITCH has been killing it with the indie animation and I want MOAR MOAR GIMME MOAR!! (27 and DONE)
That's why TADC is kinda special for me. It's clearly doing I Have No Underpants 'Cause They Got Too Brown, but the characters are lovable! The world is intriguing. I WANT them to succeed and... maybe they can? They took a story I hate and made it one I love. Thank you for that!! (26)
Some day I WILL die and that's awful... but I've kinda figured all that out when I turned 19. To explore suffering just for the sake of it sounds fetishistic, but it's not mine. Much like Jax, who wants to lay in his shit personality, people love these horrible stories of misery. Not me! :D (25)
What TADC does is actually explore the idea of AI having more complex feelings than just... hatred. I Have No Teeth So I Must Suck is a very basic idea of "what if evil man is evil for ten paragraphs. I'd rather explore a world where we don't have just one conclusion. Suffering. (24)
Tbf, I Have No Ass But I Must Poo has influenced countless because it's kinda intriguing. A story about an evil AI torturing humans. That's Portal, System Shock, REAL LIFE!! Lmao~ I don't like the original short story, but I love all the stories it inspired and that includes TADC. (23)
It's also worth noting, this show is inspired by my least favorite short story "I Have No Mouth But I Must Scream." A story written by an angry man that wanted to imagine people being tortured cause that's... cool I guess. Other people like it, because other people like torture. (22)
OHH! Here's something! These two canonically have sex and I just think that's cool~! (21)
Zooble! I saved you for last cause I don't have much to saysorryyyyyyy!! She started out having a clear history with Caine, which I thought was gonna prove they knew each other outside the game, but they... don't. I'm not even disappointed, but I thought it's worth pointing out. (20)
It might seem hacky to have a character with signs of dementia just... get their dementia cured, but luckily the story doesn't try to hard to push that as a narrative. Kinger's issues are treated like a glitch in his brain matrix, so the solution seems fairly suitable to me. (19)
Kinger is definitely crazy, but it's clear he can center himself and once the rest of the cast figures that out, they expand upon this logic for other greater conflicts. What starts as a goofy crazy guy becomes the most essential member of the party. (18)
Kinger in particular has a whole dementia adjacent situation, that I've seen a few times in old man characters. However, as the show continues on, this world has its own mythos and... rules. (17)
Kinger was mine and my bf's absolute favorite, from his desing to his voice actor to his characterization! He's a great example of taking a crazy archetype and make them the wise sage, without come across hacky. (16)
I've heard folks say Jax is a trans allegory. Very confidently! I don't have the street cred to make a definitive call, so I leave that up to you! Whether he is or not, it's cool to see so many people's take on him. While his backstory is clear, his feelings aren't! We are so very complicated. (15)
There's a very specific beat in the narrative, where the whole cast comes together to build a better future for themselves. Now, Jax gets the most attention and sympathy during this sequence, which is bad if you don't like Jax. My bf still didn't forgive him, but y'know that's fine. (14)
