Short set from Audrey Hobert tonight, but she played "Sue Me" twice, so I was satisfied! She was bouncing on a trampoline during part of the number and crowd was definitely bouncing too! Super-fun!

It's a good day to reflect on these thoughts from @attackerman.bsky.social He offered this perspective in an interview he did with @marisakabas.bsky.social after the publication of his Henry Kissinger obituary ran in Rolling Stone. Today, relief.

I had a conversation with my daughter who was like, “Why are people excited? So are you happy that this guy died?” And I was trying to talk about it in terms that I wanted her to take away from this. That it is a bad habit of the soul to celebrate anyone's death. But that emerges from our understanding of our humanity, what we owe to one another, the basic respect and dignity in viewing human lives as precious and in viewing them as valuable. And that's a contract. And there are gonna be some people, like Henry Kissinger, who break that contract at grand scale, and you don't have to be sad when someone like that dies. You can feel relieved. You don't want, in general, to be happy when people die. That is not a good way of being that will ultimately hurt you more than it will hurt them. But there are some people whose deaths come as a relief, and sometimes they come as a relief because justice was never served for the acts of such a person. And relief is the closest thing to justice tha

I was glad I found time to visit the Obama Presidential Center during the @amlibraryassoc.bsky.social Annual Conference. It really is a thoughtful and well planned space. I didn't have tickets for the museum and so I can't wait for the chance to come back and explore more. #alaac26 #libraries

The @ccploh.bsky.social brought the Springfield Symphony Orchestra to the @amlibraryassoc.bsky.social Conference to perform their "Tunes-n-Tales" program, and it was glorious! There's still a lot of #alaac26 conference left, but I'm not sure that anything is going to top this. Just fantastic!

The State Library of Ohio just moved into our new downtown office space. It's a big building and we share it with a couple other state agencies. I think it's great that so many people here bike to work (and that we get covered/secure bike parking), but I wonder if we're going to need more racks!

I usually report to the office for work, but because we're moving our location today is a work from home day for me; a very sunny and colorful work from home day!

Akron run. I'm not sure why the Strava app has such a hard time with math, but my pace was NOT 9:44/mile. It was probably closer to 11:00/mile, what with all the hills and walking and such.

I had to take the bus to Akron this weekend. I really appreciated not having to drive 3 hours in the rain and I got this nice Richteresque pic of the Ohio landscape.
