This chart seems to be going around again as evidence of a kind of cruel, cynical NIMBYism, and I always feel compelled when I see it to push back. Yes, we should have more (esp. small) manufacturing here, and it is amazing that 1 in 5 working Americans want to do it!! That's 4 million people!

Side note, I must praise this Ithaca Times reporter for determining who in our community is most committed to keeping cats healthy and asking him what he thought about the cat murders. He lowkey thinks they're bad

People are dunking on this, but swap kimchee for the kraut and bun the burger and that’s a normal day at my house. Those are regular foods. The difference, I guess, is we like eating these things and vance just likes…uh…actually nothing I guess?
