this is in regards a certain professional racing series that decided to race there at the country club track for 2 years (tell me you don't care about the fans without actually telling me)

on the racing end: there was a past proposal for a country club style road course here in 2007. Was designed by EFR The land slated still hasn't been touched, partly due to the environmental cleanup needed as it was the site of a chemicals plant.

indycar should do a 1/2 mile short track package with the 2028 car so they could run wilkesboro & stafford with how heavy those cars are now, i think it'd work (especially with a gear rule to deter shifting) and if the AIS could do it with 90's CART era cars feat. stock blocks & the Buick
IndyCar's c-suite doesn't want us hardcore fans here on the east coast they only care about country club races so the aging team owner base can wine/dine "potential" backers & executive order enforced street race events - where fans have to be "selected by lottery raffle" to be able to attend

so the community that surrounds the @iracing.com Asphalt Sprint Car official series decided to give Gateway a try. It had been 10 years since we last ran there. Gotta say, it raced pretty well & exceeded expectations
