I just saw THE MANDALORIAN AND GROGU, and it was a delight. I’ve seen most of SW in the theater on release, enjoyed some more than others, and this was a “more.” I liked the TV series, and this one was of a piece with it.
This poem is far and away my favorite work of his, but I'd also recommend HOTHOUSE (AKA THE LONG AFTERNOON OF EARTH), a book even more relevant now than when first published.
For World Poetry Day, I'll share "Space Burial," by British science fiction author Brian W. Aldiss. Originally published in 1959 in F&SF, I first encountered it about halfway between then and now on Usenet. I have returned to it again and again over the years.
Can I say I’m “in my Sara Teasdale phase” if I’m absolutely reveling in her Collected Poems? Here’s hoping. I’ve typed some out and am trying to memorize them, which I haven’t done for years. Rusty muscles, pleasurable labor.

While I'd definitely like to see the curse broken and a film adaptation of A CONFEDERACY OF DUNCES happen, I'll confess that I'd be at least as interested in a NAKED LUNCH-or ADAPTATION-style "adaptation." If none of that's feasible, heck, maybe a Rotoscoped Bakshi-style extravaganza.

Not saying MAD LOVE is the best horror movie of its time, but I think we can all agree that most movies, horror or otherwise, would be improved by the presence of disturbingly lifelike waxworks and a mad doctor or two.

The vaults are full of good concepts with poor execution, quirky and ragged joys with loyal fan bases, and decent stuff released at the wrong time. Maybe try some of those.
