You think nobody is trying? We are changing people’s opinions all the time.
It’s not a risk. The Euro is now the world’s second reserve currency after the US dollar, and may well become the first. It’s safer and more stable than the pound as demonstrated by prevailing interest rates. Sterling is relatively a greater risk.
I’m seeing lots of content like this. Can anyone explain why everyone hates Argentina? I have no idea.
I took a section of my WIP novel to writing group today and they said it reminded them of the Da Vinci Code and The Historian. I guess that’s good, right? #BookSky
If the England fans sing ‘Hey Jude’ for Jude Bellingham, why don’t they also sing: ‘You are like a Harry Kane There’s calm in your eye…’
Because that’s not the only criterion. You are going to have to do your own homework on this. Anyway we shouldn’t be asking to be excluded. We should be asking how soon we can join.
Who needs some cosy crime holiday reading? THESE on Apple Books and probably elsewhere, by Mariko McCarthy, are ideal for a beach read. #BookSky
And I’m saying that the English regions really have cultural and economic borders that you are unable to take into account with your model. FWIW I’ve always thought the BBC TV regions are a good model for e.g. regional devolution.
As for ‘quite brilliant’ he was subject to an intervention before he lost to Farage at the next election. See the red line? That’s how much people were inspired to vote for him. The PLP couldn’t let that go on or we would be living under a Farage dictatorship in 3 years time.
The east coast of County Dublin refuses to participate in the heatwave. It reached 23°C today. The cats have been lolling in the sun room as always.
In other news, a woman called ‘Sparkle Monica’ has blocked me for asserting that many of us in Europe DO have tumble dryers in our homes.
New Street looking gorgeous today. #Malahideaway Keep the gingers in the shade, please!
Precipitate or not, we’ve got to start somewhere. Why not now? The risk of domestic rejection is not high.
We were fighting then, and we are fighting still. I seem to remember that two of these people were Tories, one a Corbynista, and on the right was our Labour MP. I was behind the camera.
Meanwhile if you want to go from Oxford to Cambridge by public transport, this is what you get. It’s all about the infrastructure, innit?
You should read the law on terrorism. According to what I’ve read, this case involves more than nuisance.
I’ve got news. Many Brexiters have changed their minds. Many of the others are dead.
Here’s the imbalance you speak so fondly of. We left the Dublin accord at the end of 2020. It’s gone well, hasn’t it?
I link leaving the EU with increased poverty. Our councils have less to spend. Economists estimate that our GDP is 8% lower because we left. And you are in a minority now, because most people think Brexit was a bad idea.
Tesco Holyhead. Forty types of cheddar. Wensleydale with damned cranberries. All sorts of French, Italian and Greek cheeses. Cheshire, however, is an endangered species. We did also score an authentic-looking Caerphilly which I will report on later.
We are house hunting. My theory is that in any property you can only have two of these three things.
A lovely dog is snuggled up with me in the pub. This is Millie.
House hunting in England. The speed limits are lower, the potholes are worse, and we are staying in that place where we have to face our worst fears.
