Well that's a new one. Train anounced, on time platform 44. Come the time and no train arrives. The anouncement saying the train is departing comes. We all look at each other. Is it a ghost train? Does it only appear if we believe in it? Have we missed it now?

Look. It's not the best, but it's my favourite: One Cut of the Dead. It surprised me and made me laugh. And it's a film you need to deserve. It makes you wait. It's deeply annoying until it's not anymore.

Ah. Cool cool. A very large majority of the EP just voted for a report that asks the EU to cut funding to NGOs who criticize EU livestock farming and that implies only adult men can be vegeterians without health issues. I'm going to walk into the sea.

Saw this guy yesterday at la Madeleine. He is very, very funny. Highly recommend.

That amendment just passed in the AGRI Committee. The report it was in was then voted by a very wide majority. 40 in favour, 8 against (including 4 Greens and 2 from the Left). I guess the others find it acceptable. I am very tired.

Stresses the need for increased transparency in the allocation and use of EU funds allocated to NGOs in order to prevent any risk of misuse or undue influence on EU policies; calls on the Commission to create a public register specifying the amount and purpose of funding received by NGOS; is concerned about the allocation of funds, including through the LIFE programme, to NGOs carrying out lobbying activities before the EU institutions, in particular on animal welfare, thereby potentially violating the principles of separation of powers and sincere cooperation; calls on the Commission to stop funding NGOS conducting targeted lobbying and
conveying a misleading, militant and
ideological image of livestock farming in Europe; calls on the Commission to ensure that all beneficiaries of consolidated funds publish their meetings with representatives of the EU institutions when they aim to influence EU policies.
