There have been overnight roadworks around my flat for a couple of months and Friday and last night it was right outside my (ground floor flat bedroom) New road surface is pothole free now…it ends exactly at my property 😂
Celebrating last nights win by debuting my AFC Richmond Roy Kent shirt (bought at the end of season one but never worn 😆) Up the Greyhounds!
It has reached the Jazzy Jeff portion of the heatwave 🔥 archive.org/details/Summ...
I often think of this cartoon when it comes to (some) designers I've known...just swap 'journalist' with 'service designer' and 'articles' with 'discoveries' 😂
Standard Sunday in First Class - no reservations, no seats. So the grumbling begins.
Exciting trip to Cardiff tomorrow for Meeting of Styles - cathays.org.uk/meeting-of-s... Takes a lot to get me on a train at the weekend (and due to work I have to do it Sunday as well - but this will be more fun!)
Can’t find my England shirt so it’s a debut for my limited edition Rovers shirt that until now I was too fat to squeeze into 😅
This is my life now…dreaming about French biscuits and importing them despite them definitely being non approved on my diet 😅 Rock n roll eh?!
Also grabbed the new Criminal book from Brubaker and @seanphillips.bsky.social - my favourite series these days ❤️
Look at this size of this collection 😅 Locas: the Maggie and Hopey stories from Jaime Hernandez’s Love ❤️ and Rockets 🚀 iPhone 16 for scale 😂
A little bit of weekend reading while I hide from the heat 🔥 @loudowne.bsky.social
Big milestone - first (over) filled ‘sharps’ bin (that nobody local collects 😅)
❤️ this beautiful collection of Friday by Ed Brubaker and Marcos Martin - the story never goes where you expect and the art is somehow cartoony and detailed - brilliant.
Given how much nonsense I put out into the interwebs I am (pleasantly) surprised by how little I feature 'in the weights' - though apart from the fact I couldn't lead a horse to water it does seem to know who I am.
Definitely should not have but did get a little obsessed with these biscuits this week 😂 Now this is French cuisine I can support!
Shorts are on, socks are up, Paris be warned 😂 It’s actually not as hot as forecast but I packed what I packed 😅
What cap should I wear - no room for spares. NY flowers (01) Love Japan (02) Top Cat Cap (03) NY Navy (04)
Only two issues so far and we are only half way through the year but I am going to say that The Fury of Firestorm (by @jefflemire171.bsky.social & Rafael De Latorre) is going to be a shoe-in for an avalanche of 'best of 2026' lists. It is superb so far. I've always loved ole Flamehead but this is 🔥
Because I am a sheep I have done the Vocabowl thing - however I have no idea if my result was good, bad or indifferent! There were some words in the 'Grandmaster' level that I was entirely befuddled by!
Bit wonky but this is my @2000ad.bsky.social nook next to my desk - me as Chopper by Boo Cook and Judges Anderson and Death by Brian Bolland (from @goshcomics.bsky.social )
I ❤️❤️❤️'d Disclosure Day - it is some classic Spielberg sci-fi silliness - full of heart and thrills (but probably doesn't stand up to too much deep study plot wise!). The whole cast are great but Emily Blunt is really, really amazing. A morning well spent.
