I think that is especially true for trans people.

And I know a lot of trans people have said this, so I'm not just making this up. There was not really a meaningful anti-trans movement in this country before the so-called trans tipping point.

Anti-trans politics is a major plank of the Republican Party, probably the major plank, honestly. I mean, it's all they talk about, and certainly as we come up to the midterms, they're talking about it more and more. So it seems like maybe there was value, not in, I don't want to say staying closeted, but maybe in working for liberation and material needs in more local, community-level, less PR-focused ways. And I think there's a lot to say there about how corporations exploited this model and then dropped it, as we've definitely seen.

And you think he's an ally to the working class? He's not. He doesn't support Medicare for All, yet 73% of Ohioans support it. He recently voted with Trump to continue a war with Iran. He is a huge supporter of Israel. And he has taken over $1 million in corporate PAC money. We can do better.

It's common knowledge among activists. Not only did he create opsec failures for ICE activists, he had a very public spat about it on social media bc they asked him to stop putting them at risk. He refused. He even published photos & videos of activists & spoke to media about their activities. 💁🏼‍♀️

2. THE ABOLITION OF PRIVATE PROPERTY. Liberalism must finally decide

which will prevail: capitalism, or rationalism. For the capitalist experiment, in true scientific fashion, has been tried for hundreds of years; and the scientific analysis of its operation and its consequences, advanced over 150 years ago by Karl Marx, has proven that it is unsustainable. The question of whether we will abandon private property and abolish the ruling class is not, in that light, merely an economic question; it is also a question about our commitment to the longstanding liberal ideal of reason, of choosing logic and facts over ideology any mysticism.

3. THE END OF BOURGEOIS RIGHTS. The abolition of private property, of

course, means that the bourgeoisie will no longer be able to hoard the capital that he leverages to exploit workers. It will lose its right to that wealth. It will lose its right to set wages. It will lose its right to donate inordinate sums of money to public officials in exchange for political power. It will lose its right to build an enormous apparatus of mass media to serve as a megaphone for its exclusive interests. And crucially, before the bourgeoisie loses these rights de facto, it must lose them de jure. "Can there be equality between the exploited and the exploiters?" asked Lenin, one of the central luminaries of liberal socialism. The answer, of course, is no. Thus,

4. THE DICTATORSHIP OF THE PROLETARIAT. With private property

abolished and the bourgeoisie dissolved, only workers will remain. And because liberal socialism means democracy, the sovereign right and authority of workers in the socialist state cannot be challenged. The dictatorship of the proletariat must prevail.
