It's her! It's my #pmd character! Star of my comic, face of my page, it's Role! She's part Vulpix, Zorua, & Nickit. And all fluffy! Drew for Fox Pokémon Day~ It's neat seeing how her design's changed since 2020.

This is artwork of Role, from this year, 2026. She's a vulpix, zorua, nickit hybrid. She sits on her haunches with a smile! There's design notes around which are as follows:
Firey tuft of fur, very vulpix. but shaped like zorua's, too!
Her cheek fluff is very zorua.
Dark tail tips, like nickit's!
Teardrop facial markings, also like nickit's!
3 tails (that's easier to draw repeatedly; important if you're making a comic!)
The mantle she wears has triangles from calyrex but that's for story reasons. It's an accessory, not part of her body!
Front paw "gloves" come from nickit, though with the zagzag of vulpix!
Red-orange paws, to evoke zorua's red. (and also to balance her color palette since her tails aren't orange like vulpix.)

Role artwork from 2020. She's in roughly the same pose. Her design here has features that have since been omitted, like her inner-facing eyelashes, and other features simplified, like her "gloves" and two tufts of her hair that would later become one "slice"-like shape.

クド!! Role & Amon stare on in shock.

Role asks: "Seekers of Knowledge, Keepers of Secrets?"

Amui's expression turns a mix of nervous and exasperated.
"Because... um... You sought out knowledge on how the world works and how to save it, while keeping secrets and such."

Role & Amon look relieved at the clarification. Well, maybe Role. Only her ear is visible in the panel due to how much shorter she is than Amon.
Amon: "Oh yeah."

Since the Prologue, "Departure", is 4 pages, it just occurred to me it'd be neat to post it here as a preview of my #pmd comic: Seekers of Knowledge, Keepers of Secrets! Chapter 1 is forthcoming, and I'm excited to truly begin showing you the story!

A blue mew floats in the void. They face away, leaving the beholder with only the stoic view of their back.

"Still here? ... Well, I try not to show it much...
But I'm really, REALLY scared..."

They shiver, holding their chest. A dark, almost bloody-looking aura, emanates from their front. This must be an effect of the void, an ethereal Realm Beyond Worlds.

The dark aura fades as they straighten back up.

"So I want you ask you this one more time..."

Turning their head behind themselves, the mew holds their tail as they look to the beholder with a tear in their eye, and a wavering smile.

"Just to be sure."

Facing the beholder, the mew beckons in full, full view. They reach out their hand, expression worried yet hopeful. Their tail curled in questioning; a faint sine wave behind their head.

"Please come with me?
Help me face my woes?"

A hand reaches out, holding the mew's hand with gentle firmness. It is a human hand. This is the one whom the mew was speaking to.

"Of course." The human says, in her native tongue. It seems though that the two can understand each other, in this mysterious place.

Mew looks on at the two hands for a moment, eyes fixed in flat affect.
Then they tear up, a wave of joyous, thankful, and relieved emotion overtaking their face.
Smiling at their friend, the small blue cat speaks again in response to the human's promise.

"Thank you..."

"Then it's time for us to go!"

With the human's hand in theirs, the mew flies forward! As they fly, the human, in a white yukata wrapped right over left, is transformed into a Pokémon! This new fox-like form is small, and looks like a cross between a vulpix, a nickit, and a zorua.

Now mew's hand is the one doing the holding. The once-human's red, glove-like paw fits comfortably in their grasp.

Accelerating towards a light up ahead, the mew looks on, beset with joy and elation!

"To the world... where my people wait!"

With a smile, they close their eyes, as the page fades to white.

Ohhh my gosh so uh, been hyperfocusing on PMDFF recently since, I've been falling in love with the stories & community there! Encouragement to set up my material there too. And the site celebrated its 2nd Anniversary and I made this sketch to celebrate!

Effie, the Espurr mascot for the site Pokémon Mystery Dungeon Fanfiction, recreates the "TWO CAKES!" meme but instead of a knife & fork, holds a phone and a mouse connected to a laptop. And the two cakes are now made up of the site's default story covers.

THE EFFIE: "HOLY FIC! TWO YEARS!"

Somewhere, hopeless and beaten up within a Mystery Dungeon in a rocky hellscape, Team Ultra lay.

Madoka shakily stands up, the flames on her back erupting in sheer determination. "hhhhh hhurts. it hurts. but... but my partner hurts too. hhhh i can't... hhh hhhhh i... I WON'T GIVE UP!!!"

She holds a Pounce Wand, ready to keep fighting.

Her Partner Daigo, tearfully tries to reach out. "Maddie..."

"Ready for anything, Rescues to do. Team Emberites... let's go forth and shine!" This trio means so much to me! My #pmd Rescue Team team, shown here in their postgame selves, are just... so so cool! It helps that the Hoenn mid-evo starters, are cool! Loved playing as them in Red, and again in DX!

Standing before a colorful backdrop is Rescue Team Emberites! On the left is Marshtomp the Marshtomp, wearing a yellow Rescue Team scarf. He stands in joyous wonder! On the right is Razr the Grovyle, wearing a blue Rescue Team scarf. He readies a Luminous Orb, ready to throw it to protect his teammates! And in the center is Danny the Combusken (formerly a human). She's wearing a red Rescue Team scarf, but in bandana-style around her head feathers. A character from my upcoming #pmd comic. I was... so yeah, when I found out about Zoroark Day I was like "oooh ok! i wanna draw my Zoroark character then!" I am very late since, disruptions and I got so augh about the original linework I completely redid the lining process ^_^; But, proud of this!

"Mai, Master Alchemist". She is a Hisuian Zoroark from my soon-to-be Pokémon Mystery Dungeon comic.

Her mane's shape is designed to evoke a witch hat, as well as Darkrai. Darkrai design elements can also be found on her chest fluff. On her left ankle she wears beads with some petals attached. These are patterned off of Calyrex, who is another character from the story.

The backdrop has her name written in both Footprint Runes and Mystdian Script (both cases, my version of a writing system for the PMD world.)

#pmd gives back what you put in. For many of us, we poured in our souls & received a personal experience deeper than what we saw on the screen. A couple of days ago marked 20 years since Rescue Team released. I wished to draw something for it, even if I knew it'd be late.

Heck why not? It's timely. A character I have planned in the #pmd story I want to make is Zygarde, who spends much of the story in a Morpeko-like form, 5% (she's an OC design, so not a Z-A spoiler. Unless I got unlucky & the game turned out to do the same thing??) This sketch was made a while ago.

A color sketch of my OC version of Zygarde. Unlike any of the canon forms, this Zygarde is of a custom form, 5%. In this form, she resembles the Pokémon Morpeko, being a small, potato-shaped rodent with stubby limbs, and a green-and-black coat with hexagonal patterns. She's holding out a walnut while smiling friendly.

Thinkin' about Marshtomp today. One of my very earliest #pmd OCs, Marshtomp the Marshtomp (yes, really). Originating in my Red Rescue Team playthrough, he's the 3rd team member in Team Emberites, as Danny & Razr's best friend! He's so pumped to hang out with them because otherwise... he's lonely.

I don't have anything new for PSMD's 10th. But wow does the time fly. Might have something for NA's November release? But anyway, have a snippet of a decade-old comic I did back when the game was new! #pmd (originally posted in 2020 on tumblr)

Mr. Nuzleaf screams at Madoka (the amnesiac Cyndaquil hero), who is dazed from running into him.

Nuzleaf: "HEY! Ya can't just go all nose-joustin' with random pokémon, that's just reckless!"

Madoka, still dazed, has her head gripped by Nuzleaf's hands. She manages to say her piece.

Madoka: "I'm being chased..."

A trio of menacing Beheeyem suddenly loom over Nuzleaf & Madoka. The little Cyndaquil sweats while Nuzleaf stares at the three.

Nuzleaf: "Oh."

Nuzleaf and Madoka run for their lives, leaving the Beheeyem trio in the literal dust.

Nuzleaf: "Y'know, you'd be faster on all fours, I reckon!"
Madoka: "I'M NOT DOING THAT!"

Beheeyem: *cough cough*

Found that panel, & so restored my old headcanon comic about #pmd Super's Ampharos! As a Flaaffy, he was a timid tinkerer, but after receiving help testing & finishing his invention, sought a bolder destiny! (Though a destiny with less "seeing where he's going"...) Originally drawn Jan 23, 2018.

[Panel 1]
"Oh this? It's just a small prototype for this dumb idea of mine, heh heh..."
A shy, bespectacled Flaaffy sheepishly looks upon a mess of electrical components he'd been working on.

[Panel 2]
Medicham and Ekans of Team Meanies are bullying our poor Flaaffy! Medicham is holding his glasses out of reach, while Ekans does the same with a strange circular electrical tablet with orbs on its sides.
Flaaffy: "p-please give those back..."

[Panel 3]
Later, we see that Flaaffy got his belongings back, thanks to an unnamed Rescue Team!
Flaaffy: "As thanks for all your help, I'd like you to have my Prototype Gadget. It can keep track of your Rescue Team's jobs & recruits!"
He presents to them the tablet with the 6 orbs. The top orb has a pair of antennae. In the tablet's the center is a monochrome screen with a Command Line interface.
Rescuer Ralts: "Thank you!"
Rescuer Snivy: "Nice."

Flash forward to the future, where our now-confident Flaaffy sets the stage for his soon-to-be calling as Ampharos, Chief of the Expedition Society! He strikes a pose with sparkles in his eyes!
Flaaffy: "From now on, whatever I do, I'll do it DASHINGLY!"
A certain Jirachi is floating around, amused.
Jirachi: "One wish for boldness and suddenly you're all that, huh?"
By the way, Flaaffy stepped on his glasses, breaking them. It's unclear whether it was an accident or he did this on purpose.

Also when I was browsing my folder for Super, I noticed an old headcanon comic I made about pre-Expedition Society Ampharos, as a Flaaffy and. Where is "flaaff-2"?? It doesn't seem to be in another folder. (probably in that "pre-ampharos" sai file, haven't used SAI in forever omg) But still, wha?

In Super #pmd, there was this StreetPass feature where you could send out or receive Helper Pokémon, with custom messages even! Saving screenshots on 3DS took forever, but past me did so for this amazing ROARing Totodile anyway. Wherever the player who sent this is now, I hope they're doing well.

On a partly cloudy night, Daigo the Bayleef looks upon an object that her partner made. It's a paper crane. The former-human, Madoka the Quilava, holds the crane gingerly in her paws, with a quietly sad look.
