The world is really f'd up. But also, I've been battling some Creeping Jenny (bindweed) around my house. My daughter says I should just let it take over the house until it looks like a hobbit hole. It's hard to argue with that.

The delicate white blooms of the insidious vine known as Bindweed, which does exactly what it's name implies: chokes off every other plant it comes in contact with.

Ooh ooh! I just remembered something that made me happy in the pre-internet days. Hunting down these books individually, when you had to actually go into shops and yard sales, and hope you got lucky, instead of just typing a title and entering bank card info.

Old paperback copies of Piers Anthony's A Spell for Chameleon, The Source of Magic, and Castle Roogna, with brightly illustrated covers. The first three books in a fantasy series that was funny and charming, and full of silly puns. The later books in the series got to be kind of tired and cringey, but these had the happy juice. Castle Roogna was especially hard to find.

I bought this cat bed several years ago. Cats shunned it no matter where I put it. Nearly tossed it. Then almost accidentally put it here in the window and now they fight over who gets to nap in it. Location, location, location.
