Kind of wish they put a citation here, because I have no idea what they're talking about. Paying for search is good because it means you're not the product?
Tired: sharing prompt markdown files with my coworkers via built-in file sharing or Git Wired: publishing an agent running on my local box to the company's DNS records (You should try it, it'll 100% be very easy to convince your company's IT department to do this)
🤔🤔 Probably not good! We should probably start passing state/federal bans on recommendation engines! www.pewresearch.org/internet/202...
Uh-oh. It's leaking into the TV shows. If this scene were accurate, it'd be 2 minutes of swatting away AI pop-ups and scrolling past 15 ads.
Most web software now is happy to embed it for you. @discourse.org has a fantastic tutorial on Analytics here: meta.discourse.org/t/integratin... (And I really do mean that, <3 Discourse). Look at how much information is voluntarily being given to Google. Gosh, that sure is a lot of data.
This is verrry interesting. Most of the information we consume on the Internet originates from places far, far away - usually from people we will never meet.
It's quite easy to see technological change solely from an optimistic point of view (which I've definitely done), but it's always a double-edged sword.
Congrats to Google for somehow unlearning how to make a search engine and replacing it with whatever this is
Damn this probably paid out a decent chunk of change. I'm sure that post in the screenshot was definitely written by AI
Google Maps sucks. They censor everything and nothing shows up. Gonna have to switch to Organic Maps instead
Mass social media completely fails at holding attention on a single topic. Discourse is great precisely because they can keep attention focused on single topics and they can be rigorously debated. This book is so good
For comparison, this is 4chan. Not seeing any reports about Obama being arrested here.
It's all over. According to YouTube: AI is going to take all of our jobs, Obama has been arrested, and Trump just declared war. Oh, and guns.
