the string diagrams are starting to get out of control (it's a lot easier to draw them by hand than to write tikz code, but the results are quite nice!)
"But then Grothendieck just walked away from academia entirely. In 1971, as he advanced the Grothendieck–Riemann–Roch Theorem, he left a satirical note titled Hexenküche (German for "Witches Kitchen") featuring doodles of little devils with pitchforks, exclaiming: “The diagram is commutative!”"
For non-Abelian there is no deconfined phase in 3+1D. There is still a first order transition line ending at a critical endpoint. (arxiv.org/pdf/2404.17001)
this is the basic phase diagram for the Fradkin-Shenker model for Abelian groups. Higgs and confined are thermodynamically the same bulk phase. Neither breaks any bulk symmetry. There are various diagnostics which try to pin down a boundary between them. Here I show that there is a boundary SSB
Well he did put his personal *checks notes* insurance lawyer to prosecute the case like a week before the statute of limitations expired Also lol, she represented insurance companies against homeowners
Sitting at a cafe thinking about Fourier transforms and nodal line singularities
I saw this gigantic bunny just munching on the grass down the street, guy walked past with his dog and they all just ignored each other.
