2,000-point army shot of my Tyranids that will be facing Ultramarines today. It features the Norn Assimilator, a pair of Psychophages, two units of two Ripper Swarms, two bricks of twenty Termagaunts each, a brick of twenty Hormagaunts lead by a Lashwhip Prime Warrior, two units of Raveners, a brick of 6 Zoanthropes lead by a Neurotyrant, a Lictor, and leading the swarm is in fact the Swarmlord.

Everything is in various stages of painted, and of those that *are*, you can see the inconsistency of body colors due to the time it took to get to each of them plus losing access to the original color.

Screamer Killer Carnifex, this time with black chitin painted on a couple of his arms. Its joints on that arm have been painted in a light grey so that they may get their own color later. Admittedly, not as much progress was made as I would've liked, but progress is still progress. I'll try to work on it more tomorrow.

Have I mentioned how damn hot it is? Damn, it's hot! It's so hot... Drink water!

Screamer-Killer Carnifex model primed in grey and white. Parts of the arms and chest are painted with Baal Red Contrast. This is part of a project that is 100% the fault of Drunk on Tea, and if you're reading this, I've given away what the project actually is. But, you're not really reading this are you? I mean, it would be great if you did.

If Snoopy was driving a topless convertible down the highway at 90 MPH, how fast could he shingle a dog house with pancakes? I don't know, ice cream has no bones!

Funny, no? My dad would tell me that one a lot.

Anyway, I'm exited to finish this Screamer Killer. I'll update how far I've gotten closer to the end of my day. But, since so many of you are over in UK and Europe, you're not gonna see it till tomorrow. Unless you're a night owl.

Did I mention how silly I thought it was that they scaled up the Screamer Killer, but not the rest of the Carnifexes? They should get on that.

The thing about painting miniatures is, you've gotta remember it's just paint. The first 60-75% of your time painting it, you're gonna think it looks like trash. Just get the paint on the mini. Norn Assimilator. The body is painted with Vallejo Model Color 70.841 Andrea Blue, as close to cyan as I could manage. All of the parts that will end up looking fleshy have been painted with ProAcryl Dark Hot Pink, a very magenta color if i've ever seen one.

Viewing her right side, we see the hand of the "painter" holding a Norn Assimilator, primed in grey and white, and her legs and tail are painted in Andrea Blue Vallejo Model Color 70.841. Small progress has been made to give her the full Rainbow Dash makeover.

Full frontal view of the Norn Assimilator. You can see the huge grin on her face because she's so excited to finally get her paint. Or she's really hungry and sees a delicious snack. Either way, steer clear and make sure to tell her she's beautiful!

Viewing the left side of the Norn Assimilator, you can see she's shying away from the camera. It's not her "best side", so just make sure you give wide berth because that tail spike looks like it's about to swing this way.

Dammit! I can't stay at home playing videogames all day! (I could, but I need to get out of the house lol) Today is gonna be a "paint at the hobby shop" day, I think. #Nerdlings #Miniatures

Photo of my hobby desk. On the cutting mat are two sheets of cardstock that I use as a mess-catcher, notepad, and sometimes paint-tester. Several miniatures stand on top of this (from left to right): Tyranids Biovore (the new spider looking one), Danger Gals Doc Mittens, Khymaera Shadowflame Shard Aklyss, Genestealer Cults Female Magus, Battletech Lance [Phoenix Hawk, Warhammer, Locust, Archer]).

Miscellaneous miniature hobby stuff litters the desk like a foamboard shelf with more miniatures, paints, box of Brood Brothers with half the contents untouched, more miniatures, inks, baking soda, primer, and more miniatures.

Also on the left side of the cutting mat is an Ottlite with built-in bluetooth speaker, a Mountain Brew tin mug I got from Applefest in Franklin, PA full of markers, pens, paint brushes, and assorted tools. And on the right side of the cutting mat is a set of nippers, and a brush-toilet.

I have so many projects. I know it's mostly the "brain shit" that's responsible, but I have so many ideas, and never seem to finish any. I'm not the only one, right? Right?
