Cheney died, Mamdani won, Maine blocked question 1, VA flipped a bunch of shit, and I got to see cool art and eat tasty food with my wife. I danced today and later I'll jam out some harmonica. It's only one day, but it was very good.

Operation Mincemeat for the third show. We saw the dramatic version on Netflix as a primer, but this is a musical comedy so I'm interested in the differences.

Show number six, a final performance for our last show of the vacation. It was a really fun musical. It may be dead, but may it live on.

Because I emailed him about voting against cloture and the CR last week. To his credit, he did! One cookie. But his response to me was highlighting how voted for federal funding in the Biden administration. Look at this nonsense reply.

Senator Padilla's reply to a constituent: "I believe Congress must provide significant new investments in our communities to strengthen our economy, combat climate change, and improve access to healthcare, education, and housing for those who need it most. That is why I was proud to vote for the Consolidated Appropriations Act, 2024 (Public Law 118-42) and the Further Consolidated Appropriations Act, 2024 (Public Law 118-47), which funded the federal government through September 30, 2024. In addition to critical investments in federal programs, these bills included over $316 million that I secured for 198 local projects across California. These projects will bolster our drinking and waste water infrastructure, expand mental health and workforce development programs, help address our housing crisis, and make our streets safer.

I also voted for the American Relief Act, 2025 (Public Law 118-158), which former President Biden signed into law on December 21, 2024, to fund the federal government through March 14, 2025.

I was also proud to vote for the Inflation Reduction Act of 2022 (Public Law 117-169), which former President Biden signed into law on August 16, 2022. This historic law will reduce the deficit to fight inflation, lower healthcare and prescription drug costs, invest in domestic energy production and manufacturing, and reduce carbon emissions by roughly 40 percent by 2030. This legislation is the largest investment in history to combat the climate crisis. It will also ensure the wealthiest Americans and the largest corporations pay their fair share in taxes, while reducing the deficit by an estimated $300 billion over the next 10 years."

Detective Columbo reads "Gender Trouble" while telling a parable about how gender is a construct using Tumblr style hashtags to relate the story of his wife's cousin "lew", who doesn't have a gender. He ends his story noting that humans have created the concept of gender and contrasting it to his dog who doesn't know the difference between meatloaf and cigar ash.
