to quote myself "I don't know if I know Sam well enough to reply this on main" and kaylee said "do it anyway"
Me sipping my glass of implied drunk driving wine: "I'm getting strong notes of vehicular manslaughter... I think this would pair really well with being bonded together by a dark secret that haunts us forever"
"I would *love* to come, I *really* would, but I just remembered I need to uhhh.... un-beach 15 sperm whales. yeah they are beached to fuck it's wild"
Things I liked: Playing as a woman (and a disaster lesbian burnout spy at that) is appealing, the 90s alt tech setting (very Stålenhag), cut down skills + stress system is a big improvement, coldish warish spy themes are yummy, lots of the moments + writing stands out (wish I took more screenshots)
Harry Kane always looks like a detective who just got told some new information that made him rethink this entire damned case
This is also a big regret of mine. There's players we should have bounced from the game for their own health (and ours) much earlier. The desire to be nice and empathetic and not rock the boat overrode it and caused so many anxiety
New MUNA (Dancing On The Wall) has really grown on me. The back half of the album especially. Girl's Girl, Buzzkiller, So What, Big Stick. All the singles are good, even the little interludes. A throughline of upbeat poppy breakup yearning. Album goo
Been drawing for the first time in years, some characters I'm playing in TTRPG type games. I do some 'graphics design' (read: photoshop pixel-pushing) but zero illustration so it's been fun to practice
These are the best new albums (and EPs) I listened to in 2025, in no particular order. Playlists in replies "album of the year" is probably Trains Running Backwards by Hana Eid, which is wild because it only just came out. Swallow the Knife (Sir Chloe) + Precipice (Indigo De Souza) also great
I strongly believe 90% of this ruleset can be automated, and it opens up possibilities to scale or do stuff that's manually exhausting too. I finished automated networked Foraging and Torching commands earlier. More time spent GMing fun crunchy stuff and less time doing manual A* pathfinding
On launch of #Vanitera450 we ended the day with twice as many Cataphract orders as we processed. So we paused the game for a week and I built a bot that fully automates letter sending + delivery with correct node-based pathfinding for messenger NPCs. We've reopened for a few days, so far so good!
For @samsorensen.bsky.social's #OVER/UNDER I created WEATHERVANE, an in-universe themed combat simulator. Using it, our faction was able to predict the outcome of any battle with a high degree of confidence. It helped us price mercenary contracts and go into any combat knowing the expected outcomes.
#over/under is a currently-running 1400-player wargame played entirely on Discord players are divided into factions with conflicting goals + themes. besides 'faction bosses', players' actions are limited to voting on stuff, earning money + doing text-based roleplay bsky.app/profile/ianb...
yeah it's pretty harsh. if you're at 70% and someone leaves a negative review it pushes into Mixed (really bad obviously) and takes way more positive reviews to recover. this is worse the higher the score
The game in which the premise is "the odds are real but gamers struggle to conceptualize or even believe them" has negative reviews from gamers who don't believe the odds are real (game: Unfair Flips)
Hey friends, I'm trans. My name is Kara and my pronouns are she/her. I've written a little more on the image (see alt text if needed). Otherwise, it's nice to meet you!
