13yo is irrationally pumped about the MATLAB shirt he found thrifting. 😂 #math Time to put him to work in the lab, eh #neuroskyence?
Belated congratulations to Eryka, Abby, and @hannahgthomas.bsky.social on receiving Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council of Canada funding (MA, USRA, and PhD levels, respectively). Thank you #NSERC for your continued support of our science!!! 🙏 🧠 🎥 🎞️ 👩🦳🧑🦳 #PsychSciSky #Neuroskyence
When you're too busy to leave early, but too hopeful to look away. C'mon Canada! 🇨🇦 #WorldCup2026
Come see Joseph Merante's poster on how event tagging affects memory & eye moments 👀 in older & younger adults A69 at #CSBBCS #PsychSciSky Project with @selmalugtmeijer.bsky.social
Beautiful day for the Alzheimer's walk in Niagara today! The Campbell Neurocognitive Aging Lab raised over $2000, our most ever. Thanks to everyone who donated for your support. 🙏🏻💙 #IGWalkForAlz #BrockU Thanks @hannahgthomas.bsky.social for organizing our team!
Campbell lab had a great time learning all things memory at #TAMeG2026. 🧠 #PsychSciSky
13yo drew a graph 📈 in my bday card AND thinks I'm cool? I must be doing something right! 😂❤️ Also, what's with the "sad dip" at 85?? 🧐🤣

Despite showing similar search performance, older and younger adults’ brain activity was significantly different Young adults showed EEG evidence of ignoring distractors (Pd to lateral distractors), while older adults showed an N2pc (i.e., attention) to lateral distractors in the neutral condition.
Results: While older adults were slower overall, their search times benefited just as much as younger adults from the positive cues. That is, they were faster when told which color to look for.
Methods: Young & older adults had EEG recorded during a search task. They had to find a horizontal/vertical line inside a circle. Before the search, they were told which colored circle to look for (e.g., red), or which color to ignore (e.g., blue), or no cue at all (neutral).
Great to have several @brocku.ca #PsychSciSky PhDs back to talk about how they got their faculty positions & how it's going so far. Huge thanks to Oya Pakkal for organizing, & Jen Roters, Taylor Heffer, Alison O'Connor, & Dawn Ryan for taking part!
The "2-body problem" affects many in #AcademicSky & #PsychSciSky. Join us April 28, 2pm EDT, for an open & honest conversation with women who have navigated this reality firsthand. Jointly organized by @sparksociety.bsky.social @wicsc-trainee.bsky.social Register: tinyurl.com/yc86by7f

Having a great visit at SFU, reviewing their Biomedical Physiology & Kinesiology Dept. Packed days, but I'm trying to cram in some "culture" while answering emails 🙃
Conferences are for science, but they are also for catching up with old friends. Nice to see these and so many others at #CNS2026
You know what's better than eating ice cream?🍦Eating ice cream and seeing @retorresh.bsky.social's cool poster (C115) about the time it takes to decode high vs low memorability objects using EEG! Later today #CNS2026
If you're at #CNS2026 and interested in aging & memory, come see @emilyedavis.bsky.social's poster on implicit associative memory tomorrow at 8am (#63)
Or me (and I'll pass it on to Nellie;) to learn about AI scoring of free recall in young & older adults 🎬 #psychscisky
We had a great time at #LOVE2026 #psychscisky In case you missed it, message @hannahgthomas.bsky.social to learn about the relationship bw sustained attention & inhibition
Home for the holidays, so it's gotta be my teen drink at my teen hangout. From before social media, when we talked IRL. 😂
Had a great time presenting to the Applied Cognitive Neuroscience group @torontomet.bsky.social and seeing old friends. Thanks for having me, Julia Spaniol, @mnrajah.bsky.social, and @thinkauditory.bsky.social!
