Help please science people! Is this worryingly off? Amplification of V1-V9 of 16S rRNA. It should amplify at 1465 bp, but has amplified at > 1500 bp… 0.8% gel, 90V for 60 mins, DNA samples of Medfly tissues. I think am too naive to know if it is ok… Thank you! #PCR #MolecularBiology #Microbiome

Nice read on page 26 of issue 93 of the @gensocuk.bsky.social magazine… Jokes aside, it was really lovely to reflect on the studentship I did with the Genetics Society back in the summer of 2022. It really gave me the confidence to believe that becoming a researcher was actually within reach!!
