I can't live with a cable going the wrong way #knitting woes

Happy with these @verybusymonkey.bsky.social socks. Now making a t-shirt in the same yarn to complete an outfit!

One pair of dark grey socks slightly overlapping. Yarn is merino / nylon fingering weight. Socks have an intricate diamond lace pattern made from multiple small cables.

Third time knitting this shawl. I have one on wool (blues) another in cotton (also blues) which my mum now has, and this in black and dusky pink #knitting

Lunch is ready. This will last me a good long while. I like to prep in advance! Son looked horrified that I just dropped £60 on this, but eaten by a small handful, it works out cheap. I added some chocolate in this time furore fun 😋

#knitting sleeves! Two at a time. Seems easier to me, just like doing socks. Still unsure if the 2 skeins are the same wool, but they are the same colour, so that will do.

This is #knitting up so quickly. Only started a week ago and during that time I finished a garter stitch one plus a pair of socks. Just about finished one skein of yarn. Need to remember that i can make further ones with one skein plus scraps if I wanted to use some up. #skyknits

It's growing but I'm not sure you can see what is growing! #knitting I love the colours in this yarn, which you can also not see. This will be a fitted jumper with cables. The yarn colour is 'engine oil'. I can see why, the blue, green and purple through the sludgy blue/black do sparkle in daylight

#knitting this shawl is turning into a bit of a beast. I'm about 250g in so far & I suspect when blocked, this will be HUGE! Its DK yarn (200m per 100g) so will be lovely & warm which is what I wanted. I've never done pleats before, but they're a nice touch. Now starting on the flowers at the edge.

Shawl in red and fawn yarn. There's a cable pattern which makes an 'O' shape with some pleats every couple of inches. Garter stitch runs inbetween the cables.

Oh crap #knitting that red bobble by the end of the needle is 2 rows too soon. I'm not so keen on ripping back, esp as it's on a pleat row. I'm wondering if I should cut it off 🤔 carefully mind as I'd need a neat rejoin 🤪

The freestyling cardi is down to the hem. It's a short, boxy and rustic affair, so not sure how much rib I want. I may rib the front/neck before doing sleeves to get to the colour I want to keep stripes going. Either that or I get sleeves in 2 different colours! #knitting #showmeyourknits

Is this going to be worth the effort? I've never really worn these as the waist was too high, so I'm knocking an inch off. Can't do more due to construction. Gained, lost, gained weight, so I won't take them in much. #sewandtell

Currently #knitting with dundaga wool, I can't half feel the lanolin in it. Decided to go for a garter stitch rustic kind of cardigan. Just wondering how it will wash.

Freestyling again. I think this will be a boxy, short cardigan. Not sure how much yarn I'll need, but I have three of these jumbo balls, so no yarn chicken for me, this time! #knitting

Finished but not yet blocked. Took up all the spare variegated yarn, so very happy. Helped by a touch of shaping at the front cuff edge. Don't have many trainer socks so I ought to knit more of these! #knitting 🧶

My 'oops I accidentally cast on another pair of socks' at the beginning of this week are likely to be finished by the end of this week! Only plain, short trainer socks using leftover wool. Well more like, yarn I've been using up because it was more pinky/purple than I thought #knitting

#knitting 1st sleeve done. It's interesting how lace opens up when blocked. The body hem has been blocked but the sleeve hem hasn't yet. The wrist needs a little elastic put in too to make it a bit puffy. Happy so far, but am hoping it all grows a wee bit as I've put on a little bit of weight 😆

Playing around with a design by Helene Arnesen. Designed for mohair doubled, but using 4ply and not so much puff on the sleeves. Added extra repeat of lace at the hem too. Already blocked that part to check out finish. Yarn by CreativeAnarchyYarns (uk) 'Beware of Crimson Peak'

Partly knitted top on a white sheet. Wool is a rich mix of dark purple, red, gold and blue. Hem is slightly scalloped, neck is high and sleeve has a slight puff at the shoulder.

#knitting Back to the jacket. This will be the first time I've ever sewn a zip into knitting, so I'm keeping my fingers crossed. Just about time to start on the sleeves. Shame it wasn't ready for this cold snap!
