Back to the land of ratbaggery and rule followers. Back to subzero snap-frozen Parkrun under perfect blue sky at Coombs. Unfortunately I chose shorts and no gloves. Finished with the same number of fingers I had at the start so it all worked out. #parkrunau #loveparkrun
There is a serious seagull oversupply at parliament house tonight. This is too many.
Today in tiny delights / near death experience : Rinko Park parkrun in Japan for their 50th milestone Seriously hot day (39°C feels like temp) for it but buoyed by the loveliest and most welcoming volunteer crew I've encountered. #loveparkrun #parkrunjp 🇯🇵
I think key to a warming sign impact is not making the offensive action look enjoyable
Abandoned run 5km in because it was too hot. Otherwise having a pretty normal day. 🇫🇷 (In addition to being an ice cream influencer, I should be an influencer for how to spend your entire annual calorie budget before August. Good crossover)
72hrs in Edinburgh : saw some castles, visited some galleries, hiked a windy/slippery mountain, walked a river chasing sculptures, biked around town, ran in the rain, jogged a canal (and defo never considered whether I could steal a boat). Too many people about the place. Good. 🏴
No Parkruns in Iceland so I made my own through the Öskjuhlíð park in Reykjavík. Safety first etc. Saw a few massive bunnies and a lot of fluffy greenery. Didn't die once. 🇮🇸 #loveparkrun
I was pretty disappointed to come to Iceland with no longboarding skills, but really the roads aren't made for skateboards as practical transport. Walter Mitty was misleading.
Was taking a photo of the cool lobby but in Iceland's endless quest to be deeply weird the fancy hotel was blasting "monster mash" through the lobby speakers.
I just arrived in Hofn! Not many humans or lobsters so far. I would like a personalised parade though
11pm in Norway, camped at a farm on a Norwegian fjord. We've been welcomed into the world cup watching. Ridiculously good.
From yesterday's hike up the sherpa steps to Mt Ulriken summit: 1333 perfectly built steps. Champagne conditions 🇳🇴
Well this makes me ridiculously happy. Løvstien parkrun in Norway 🇳🇴. Lovely spot along the ridge overlooking the town, ludicrously green. Very welcoming local crew. I remain a terrible runner, it wasn't my choice of hemisphere holding me back. #parkrun #loveparkrun
Travelling with extremely patient mates means being able to kind of recreate my photo from this spot in Akihabara in 2009. Did not find a matching loon or potato to take the photo with this time. Close enough. Progress is hard.
