Here you get a nice glimpse of the Chiwaukum Schist which Icicle Creek is incising at this location. Notice the pronounced banding and veins of quartz evident in river-polished exposure in the foreground at the beginning of the clip.
Some highlights from a late April excursion along Icicle Creek just outside of Leavenworth, WA. The spring runoff is noticeable but subdued because of the below normal snowpack. You can still feel the rumble of the creek in your chest when you stand next to it.
