107 ave seems to be the project the city is holding up as a win. I have serious doubts that council/admin has the guts to make this safe. Intersections including at the roundabout will have to be seriously improved. Level crossings added and restricted turns.

The south portion of 163 street is a welcome addition but underwhelming especially as you get closer to 87 ave and the LRT where it converts to a bikeway. The north portion is a disaster which randomly ends leaving a gap between stony plain road and 100 ave.

Callingwood got no meaningful step up in safety vs just riding on the sidewalk. The crossing at the library/arena is even painted. This area has potential to be a cycling hot spot with so many amenities but it’s surrounded by unpleasant fast roads.

95 ave represented a core east/west route. (Note that blue routes do not have infrastructure) Without it we are left with only 100ave which ends at Crestwood. This also leaves a streetcar stop without any bike connection. Zero foresight.

Knack seems to be moving towards free parking downtown. Prioritizing car access seems counterintuitive if you also want foot traffic and vibrancy. Make downtown a place worth going.

My complaint over a SUP that just ends (without even a curb cut) seemingly made it into the “what we heard” document of a nearby streets lab project.
