Planted a tree today in a community restoration project. One fool-proof way to beat back the malaise/fury of the current national situation is to be involved locally. Will be doing more of this as therapy.
Wonderful week in the Greene lab! Ben defended his thesis on rational control of PCET thermodynamics in flavoproteins, Alison walked for her PhD graduation, and several undergraduates graduated to be off to med school, internships, etc. congrats all! 🎉🎉
I had the privilege of celebrating my PhD advisor and mentor, R. Brian Dyer's retirement last week with friends and alumni. Brian had a profound impact on my scientific career, shaping how I think about scientific problems and the (bio)physical world. Enjoy this next chapter, Brian!
