In one of his favorite roles, Louis Gossett Jr played the alien Drac, Jeriba Shigan, in Wolfgang Petersen's 1985 adaptation of Barry Longyear's Enemy Mine. Brilliant performance of alien speech and mannerisms. I got to tell him he deserved an Oscar for it, but being SF probably wasn't mentioned.

Oh my. Received today was Zorro: Remastered Edition from @alienbooks.bsky.social, featuring all of the Alex Toth stories from Gold Key comics in the mid-'60s. It's truly beautiful, not all detail is present in these pictures from the Kickstarter campaign. It's a volume to peruse many times over.

If I counted correctly, we have 9 more volumes of Lone Wolf & Cub Deluxe Edition (in English) to go. The book has a really nice design, let's hope it remains uniform for the next 3? 4? years. (It should be okay; afaik Dark Horse has been good about their books.)
