Okay so I had to log back into my tt to see what's going on there these days and literally one of the first things:
There's a Tyutchev poem that you'd probably knew if you grew up with nerdy Russian parents (me) and it's one of my favorites and like most of my favorite things it's mostly about struggling with/against/for desire.
You aren't kidding as it's literally not where it should be, U879! Got Bradbury though.
oh no I've read enough to know this can only end with my humiliation I don't even wanna be in the agora 😭
does this count did I make the joke work you need to see a recurring blue sky joke and then also watch a 3 hour movie in Russian but I think I did it
LOOK AT HOW MANY CHOICES THERE ARE FOR GOVERNOR I have no idea if this is normal or not, apparently it's usually fewer choices, but this is an entire huge page of my ballot!
We heard someone was talking shit about Bob Howard Sounds like someone wants to catch hands
!!! Not really an audiobook fan as I read weirdly but on the other hand: it's here!
I was just thinking I need to reread Howard’s Red Nails and then realized I should maybe get red nails again and then realized i beat myself to it by accidentally dying my hands red 💀
Jotting down ideas for my player circles mechanic, which I'm pretty sure comes from Burning Wheel and was perhaps my favorite part. (Though I didn't play it so no idea how it works irl!) There aren't really mechanics for it yet so it's mostly viiiibes but I'm curious if people have thoughts on them!
Cons of staying at friends house: I have specific shower rituals I cannot do. Pros: BIG TORTIE 💜🖤
Not great photos but I think I earned the right to be mocked for going to brunch or whatever
At a friend's house, gonna try this out! I've heard a fair bit about it on here so soon I'll be able to know whose opinions I can really trust, baha.
MM paperbacks still circulate really really fast. I can put out a couple rows like this and they'll be mostly gone in a day. They don't hold up well so I get why they're not being printed in bulk anymore but yeah, there's definitely still demand!
This is one of those things where I'm genuinely bugged that I didn't do perfectly.
So I found this kinda neat old thing yesterday and took it home and started reading the English translation line by line with the fraktur. Its the memoirs of the head of the Kaiser's household during WW1. So far it does not present a flattering picture of the guy. Its...familiar.
I'd never listened to them before. I was not prepared for the accordion player. Or the twenty minute encore!
