Trip haul #1: handmade clay teapot and surprisingly well matched teacups. The teapot is just big enough for two teacups and is perfect size for tastings. Everything is of insane quality and costed below 30€. Bought at Wang Tea Taipei. They roast their own oolongs and gave us a tour of the factory.
It's past the midpoint of my trip to HK-Taiwan-Japan. Each new day the memories of the previous one seem like a distant dream, something that has happened to someone else. I've seen so much I can't process it anymore. Today it's Kaohsiung, and in spending the day in a hotel room, catching a breath.
Remembering last Gdakon as the current one is happening. It's the first one I'm not attending since 2017. Last year's edition was a very odd time for me, not something I'd like to repeat, at no fault of the con itself. Definitely never again doing two cons in a row, like I did with Gdakon and NFC.
