A long time ago there was a Bfloblog. City of Buffalo dweller and a fan of all things Buffalo. Father of three boys who are now grown. LGBTQIA+ ally. Baseball guy/coach and a runner. Be prepared for Dodger talk.Yes I am aware none of this makes sense
The first two articles makes me wonder if the Athletic hates me or really hates me
I wore this to the park today. I help run a little league with 1,300 kids in the City of Buffalo. I wore it for two reasons. It was the first day of Pride Month and I love my friends who identify how they do. I also want kids who may be confused to see an adult saying it’s ok. Be yourself.
Catholic League All-Star game tonight. These were my boys. They are going to Canisius (x2), St. Joes and Nichols. They will all be big parts of those teams eventually (gotta get through freshman ball). A great experience for them tonight
Rewards of coaching…I had a player whose uncle is the head basketball coach at West Point. I have not coached him in two years. His grandparents gave me this on Saturday. The inside of the card had me tear up reading it. An absolute surprise
His handwriting sucks but mine does as well. We are cleaning out his past homework but oh boy, it means a lot that he learned history and humanities
This is happening tomorrow! Opening Day and the parade down Hertel starts at 11:30 on Saturday, May 2nd. We leave St. Margarets at 11:30 and march to Shoshone. Come on out and cheer. If you are at a bar or your breakfast spot stop out and clap for our little people who are SO excited to be there
Again, these kids from left to right will be 24, 18, and 26 this summer. This was post-Bruins series the last time we made the playoffs
When I die my kids will all be like “wtf, my inheritance is we all get 50 two-dollar bills?” I scored big tonight and got three of them
Am I the only one skeptical about this? And I know multiple board members
I could not find a picture of myself from the last time the sabres made the playoffs, but this is from that August. In order, sons Two, Three and One in the first pic. Second pic, in order; Three, Two (me), One. I mean, come on
We served 313 dinners between 4:30-7:00. That is crazy talk and any restaurant owner would KILL for those numbers. Hand breaded haddock by people who have been doing it for 40 years matters
Here is a Shoshone kid ripping it up. Xavier Mann, getting it done. I love this kid so much, I remember when he was a rookie
The weatherperson on WGRZ is losing her mind atm and cannot string a coherent thought together because there is a tornado warning in McKean County but I am most fascinated by a “Route 666”
Look, I am having the not best weekend. Everything kind of went sideways. But THIS IS NOT AN EIGHT INCH SUB
If your kids elementary school does not have a four-tap kegerator in the cafeteria what are you even DOING as parents? The answer is, of course, failing.
