Local Milwaukee Crank. YIMBY. Bikes are the future. Buses are good actually Unrelated to anything I’ll likely post here I’m a Salesforce Architect open to work
I was gonna say: most times you don’t need a car, and other times you also don’t need a car! There are times a car or truck would be helpful but my lumberyard delivers for $30 so 🤷♂️
Wisconsin is building them new that way. This was a total reconstruction (Wells St between Broadway and Van Buren in downtown Milwaukee) and the state DOT still decided it was better to build a bump out and make bikes to weave into drivers blind spot at intersections
"Simply use your lawn mower as you normally would" To be fair, this does eventually mostly work, but this is like a quarter of the fall leaf drop and mowing takes _forever_. Still think I'm adult enough to handle bagging if I'm too far behind to practically mow
We’re getting to “I’ve been closer on the rooftops accross the street” but it should be a great game!
I love that we (WisDOT, DPW? not sure) used transparent bags to cover the turn arrows at Kenwood/Lake. Does seem to defeat the purpose however
Sitting at your favorite university with a dude’s knee in my back staring at the sun I have no idea why I do this
Interesting. Looks like there’s a setting under Notifications - Messages - Customize Notifications that I must have long since set to Never I didn’t even remember you had the option to be nagged about new messages, can’t imagine why it should be the default
From Wikipedia, looks like it’s more about the strength of the rim than the air in the tire. Definitely not something a kid’s bike needs
You know, I think the Bears have what it takes to win* this year *Maybe only once though
I don’t accept blame for getting this one wrong 😝. Year is wrong, I’m pretty sure DOGE wasn’t cutting things during the Biden admin Learn more link wasn’t especially helpful either 😂 cc @jeramey.urbanmilwaukee.com
Ran 6 miles tonight (don’t do it) and i cant go up or down the stairs anymore, but I did get to see a cool view of the city from the breakwater I’ve somehow never explored before
