I thought I’d search for “project Hail Mary blu ray” on Amazon after the steelbook set was announced and came across something weird… 1) All the results were just for books, no blu ray or DVD pre-orders 2) so many of the books are these £10 “movie reviews” that are so blatantly AI-generated
The rest of the cast are fantastic though, a whole ensemble of solid character actors: Peter Boyle, James Sikking, Clarke Peters, Steven Berkoff. And Frances Sternhagen is just a delight to watch.

Love the books, and the BBC miniseries remains one of my favourite book-to-TV adaptations to date. It does a great job translating the story to screen, has a spectacular cast, and it actually gains a lot of quirky character from the janky early 2000s’ TV budget VFX

Today, on what would have been his 97th birthday, is Gerry Anderson Day. I was absolutely hooked on his shows as a kid, and they were huge influence on me growing up. To this day, one of my dream projects would be to work on an Anderson property. #GerryAndersonDay @gerryanderson.bsky.social

Got to see an amazing performance from Abel Selaocoe in Oxford last night, with a very earnest and charming support set from @daudi-matsiko.bsky.social. Knew little to nothing about either performer going in, a fan of both coming out. A great evening all round.

YouTube just randomly threw up this ad at me and I’m genuinely shocked by it. I don’t know if this guy is AI generated, but he’s claiming he can use his psychic powers to sketch your future soulmate. And his “proof” are these AI generated “sketches” and photos. Seriously, why is this allowed?
