/1 No Kings. Dang, I wanted to go to it, so very badly! The weird part is that it is being held a scant mile from my home. I can't walk a mile. We've been tracking my endurance. For the woman who gladly strode along at 4mph for years, walked 5-6 miles a day; it's really really annoying.

For my health, I walk in Titlow Park. My "payoff" are the creatures I photograph. Today I caught one of the nesting Eagle. Later on the little dock I saw this Warrior, harassed by crows. It's NOT one of the nesting Eagles. I've never seen this one before. It isn't giving in.

An old and battered Eagle sits by the sea. And even buzz-bombing him crows can't get him to move.

So why did I hate it? Because it isn't time travel like the blurbs say. It's somebody who screwed up and couldn't take the heat and lost her mind; was (gaslit?) by her husband and two kids for years. The "redemption" at the end of the book didn't redeem anything. The kids payed the steepest price.

#CrochetCreations Thought I’d lost my red resistance hat at the last “No Kings” rally. Alicia Hathorne posted a ribbed pattern that looked really good. She made it up herself and I loved it. She was kind enough to share her pattern with me. It took two days, but I did finish it.

Swedish Resistance knit cap. Except it’s in crochet with a deep ribbed cuff around the head and a long braid with a tassel. Acrylic yarn, Caron Simply Soft. 230 yard with a G (4mm) hook.

Tacoma Peeps... somebody is "leafletting" the parks with this ugly little message. If you see it, destroy it, please. TOXIC STUFF (I found 7 of these on a trails in Titlow Park.) It tells people to report aliens giving a number and saying "Neighborhoods, School, Work, Church, Restaurants."

This was the list I wanted… though it should be “First to LAaast.” All the outrage NOW, I’ve been outraged for over a year. Knowing that we are not being TOLD of the deaths and that many more have died, and they are vanishing behind the curtains as if they never lived.

Ran into an interesting nibblet of history. During WWII, the Norwegians used a red cap to show their anti-German stance. The Germans showed the usual oppressor reacting to a threat knee-jerk reaction, banning the red caps and visual depictions of them.

Crocheted cap peaked with a tassel in dark red acrylic yarn.
