Because I make soy sauce, I have to buy a special water that's not hard every month since my local water is hard and affects fermentation/taste. I used two bottles. So in order to recycle the excess, I'm trying to make a self watering hanging planter🌱 from mostly recycled materials.

Don't mind the Chocolate Queen Anne's Lace growing between it that's really refusing the flower. TT All of the plants I planted on purpose for flowers refuse to flower. All the volunteer ones are flowering, like the green Amaranth. I never had this issue before...

Peanut plants are weird plants🌱. I wanted to intersperse legumes between my plants to help with nitrogen uptake. Everyone told me to NOT plant peanuts. But apparently, they grow flowers then stick those flowers into the ground to grow the peanut. I did not know red peanut plants have yellow flowers.

My first year trying to grow Gilberte tomatoes🌱, but they kinda seem prone to blossom end rot. I might fertilize them with calcium. I was going to grow San Marzano, but was persuaded to grow Gilberte instead.

My Chocolate Cherokee tomatoes🌱 are ripening. My first time growing this variety. I wonder how big they'll get. I cleared some of the leaves to encourage airflow and sun.

I bought these scallions from the supermarket, cut off the green tops, planted the bottoms, and now I'm letting the flower to go to seeds. BTW, I kept them away from the sweet potatoes since they don't like each other.

These are not morning glories🌱. They are Sweet Potato flowers. If you let sweet potatoes climb, they will produce pretty flowers for you. Morning glories and Sweet potatoes are related. I'm kinda hoping that all of 4 varieties flower so I can get a super sweet potato.

Did a macrame hanger for my self-watering bucket/planter🌱 One for each of the two buckets. I've been testing the other one and it's working.

The fasciation on this sweet potato🌱 is fascinating. So it has one thick ribbon stem at the bottom, but it's slowly splitting towards the top. Since I did this on Ruth Stout method, I can pick the sweet potatoes and keep the plant going.

Does anyone know how to store a freshly grown cucumber🌱 for a week or if it can be done? The guides online are for store-bought. The cucumber is under 1 lbs and a Korean cucumber. I grew it myself. This is Banana + sourdough starter without added yeast. It results in a surprisingly sweet bread though I added no honey to this one. The crust is very crusty and thicker than normal sourdough. The air bubbles are smaller than with granny apple bread.

Watching No Doubt in Us, but I kinda feel like these two in this #Cdrama have a hidden BL story. Iunno why I'm so convinced, but I keep feeling like it's true...

So this is short of 8 hours (7 hours) of fermentation with a sour bread starter+ bananas🍽️. Apples are faster at fermentation than bananas. Also, I would probably only ferment this about 5 hours.

I was told this is fasciation? This is a sweet potato plant🌱 I am growing. Apparently people search high and low for these types of plants.
