New paper! Does associating with their mother in the early postnatal period buffer offspring from the consequences of prenatal stress (glucocorticoids) in a facultatively social lizard? No! Happy to be able to see some of these beautiful creatures (Cordylus cordylus, cape girdled lizards) up close in the lab, despite striking out in the field! They are stunning - check out that flat body plan for squeezing into crevices 🤩 handled with permits (and a lot of love)
We found some lizards but they were not vibing with the cold weather 😂
Spending a week visiting a future collaborator in Stellenbosch this week 🤞🍷 the welcome is warm even if the weather isn’t!
