Around 1980 this was covered by an artist named Viola Wills and became a very popular nightclub hit. I saw her perform this live at the Tracadero in San Francisco in '82/83. It was one of those songs that quickly filled the dance floor.

Love parrots, especially macaws. Have a smaller, yet not much less awesome Senegal Parrot and am waiting for a Blue Necked Pionus, both smaller and slightly less rowdy and just as affectionate.
