But on some positive news - looks like Montana has a way around citizens united!

Sixteen years ago, the Supreme Court handed corporations the power to buy American elections and called it free speech. Montana just found an exit
ramp.
The Montana Plan—a proposed Montana ballot measure that's gaining steam
—doesn't overturn Citizens United. It goes around it. States grant corporate charters and decide the powers those charters include. It would simply remove "spending in elections" from those powers, killing dark money at the
source.
The Montana Mining Association and the Montana Chamber of Commerce immediately ran to court to kill it before voters could sign on. But on April 2, the Montana Supreme Court rejected them 7-0.
You don't file an emergency lawsuit to stop something you're not afraid of.
Seventy-four percent of Montana voters support it-including a majority of Republicans and independents. The campaign is driving toward a June 19
signature deadline-and the momentum is there.
Sixteen years of "nothing you can do." Montana voters are doing something.
We all should.

It’s not like in Oregon. In Oregon, the state police actually tell ICE, “You can’t do that, and we’re going to arrest you if you violate these people’s rights.” In Illinois, instead of ICE violating our rights, the governor allows his to police to violate our rights.

@pfrazee.com i’m kind of a dumb guy, but i’m confused why Link’s account is banned across apps? This seems to be at odds with what you’ve previously said about PDS bans and when they should happen.

An account takedown on a PDS is a big deal because it affects all applications. PDS operators should be reserving the takedown for network abuse and illegal content, if possible. Migrations should also be available post takedown, to the extent that a PDS can offer it without enabling complete resource abuse.
I was surprised to discover recently that our account suspension system has been operating entirely at the PDS level.
