Karen
@klreuther
Not sure how to describe myself. I'm pushing 70 (how did that happen!?). Retired private sector and federal service employee. I'm a blue dot in a very red state. I'm a "glass half full" person, so I'm hopeful for the future. And - I'm not that "Karen". :)
So...white loafers and ugly-ass pants with leaves on them. This is 1971 and I was 13. It's so awful, it's hilarious. When I read your post, I knew the exact picture I was looking for.
I have a kitty and a Golden Retriever. I always remind my visiting guests/family: - don't wear dark colors (but I do keep plenty of lint rollers) - don't take your shoes off unless you want Hairy-hair and golden glitter in your shoes when you leave! Here are pics of my boys. Hairy and Bear
Here's my Hairy from about 10 years ago watching the goldfish my grandson won at the local fair. Hairy is now 16 years old. Notice my grandma's plates in the background. :)
They'll also let you know if you're getting too full of yourself. This is Hairy.
Happy "Tongues out Tuesday"! Here's Bear (my silly golden retriever) and his best bud Stout after having zoomies in the backyard.
bsky.app/hashtag/Fluf... Happy Fluffy Butt Friday! Not the greatest pic but here's Bear and his kitty brother Hairy, butt to butt. Ton's of fluff between these two! The 2nd pic is Bear wanting in because it had started to rain (wouldn't want frizzy fluff!).
This is an old pic, but my Hairy kitty has never brought me a mouse in 15 years. Here he brought me a black walnut that fell from the tree in the backyard.
Just to lighten the mood I'm spinning vinyl this afternoon. Seems to be working so far.
On a lighter note, here's my kitty Reacher (Jack Reacher) with my youngest grandson's panda (because they're twins!). Reach has been gone for over a year. My grandsons loved him. When my oldest grandson was little and would see black and white cows, he called them Reacher cows.
Happy Caturday! This is Hairy hanging out in the village. The pic quality isn't great, but it always makes me smile. It was taken December 2011.
Want is the issue, not need. I hadn't had a pup of my own since 1986 and I really wanted a Golden. So now I have a lapdog. :)
This is Bear with his stick of the day. And in his bed with "stolen" couch pillows.
I graduated in 1976 from East Fairmont High School in WV. My dad bought me a blue 1966 Oldsmobile F-85 for $300. I added an 8-track player. :)
My pup relocates couch pillows. And yes, those are record albums in the cabinet on the left. :)
Here's my pup, Bear, a few days ago. One of my neighbors came out to say that Bear is their smile for the day. BTW, I had a dog named Tuffy when I was a kid. :)
Goldens are beautiful pups and really good tour guides (as long as you're OK staying in one spot while they get their fill of pets). Here's my golden (also named Bear) about 15 minutes after getting a new stuffed toy.
Here's one for your collection (this is the first pic I've attached in a message, so I'm hoping it works!). This is "Stumpy" in 1954. The story my grandma told was that Stumpy got his tail caught in a door when he was a kitten. Pretty sure he was a yellow tabby.
